Solitaire Collection Crashing when starting game (windows 10)

Hi,

I have two laptops both on Windows 10. The first is a Samsung NP350 and the second is a HP Paviliion 14" Touchsmart.

Solitaire Collection crashes with no message reported to the user, it just goes back to desktop on my HP. This does not happen on my Samsung with the same user. Even if I log out of box so I play as a guest, I get the same thing. I managed to locate the

I have re-installed Solitaire collection, checked all services, even turned off my Avast AV to see if it's that (even though I have that on my other laptop) but nothing seems to fix it. Worse of all, it was fine for a while then stopped working. Anyone know
what's going on here?

Solitaire keeps crashing after re-installing

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Solitaire Collection about 10 times now. I tried restarting my PC before and/or after, but Solitaire keeps crashing. What is the problem?

 

Further update to this, I realised there were some windows updates pending. I installed these and bang, we're up and running again.. I don;'t now why it can't just say that...

 

Further update, this is now occurring again. I did have another windows update present, however after doing this it still didn't work. It's all down to showing the adverts that appear in full screen.

Scanning the app, and re-installing doesn't fix this. Why have you created so many problems with these adverts with no answer? I was tempted to buy the premium version, but it's pointless if it doesn't work.

 

Another update... I've taken solitaire back into windowed mode... hey presto the advert now appears, and the game works!

Microsoft... investigate and fix please, as this appears to be the issue.

 

Lucky you I can't even get the *** game to OPEN at all I've uninstalled it, restarted my computer, and REinstalled the program and it still doesn't work right. Going to try doing my computer back to a restore point to see if that works. We shall see.

 

There have been problems with this app since the major Win 10 update in November. See the comments in the App store. It would seem that MS don't give a stuff about this considering the length of time problems have persisted.
