solid orange light

I have an original xbox one with a power brick. The light is orange and when I try to turn it on it turns on for a second then turns off. Basically won't turn on. I bought a new brick but did not fix the problem. What is wrong with my xbox and how can
I fix it?

A solid orange light means your power is set to energy saving, A solid white light your settings is set to instant on.

Is the light on your power supply solid white or orange? It shouldn't flicker and there should be a light.

 

Unfortunately it sounds like sending it in for repair would be your best bet at this point.

i tried to set up to repair but I think it's asking for $139 up front. Does it immediately charge my card that much?

 

Regretfully I don’t have a concrete answer for that as I’m unsure if they charge immediately, when they get it or when they send it back. Billing support may be able to answer that Contact Us | Xbox Support or
hopefully another member may be able to give you the correct answer in the meantime. I would hate to tell you something that’s not correct, especially when it involves money.

If the console is out of warranty then there would a charge for the repair. When setting up the repair with customer support, the amount is taking off the card of your choosing once the order is placed.

If the power brick was replaced and the console is still not turning on, that is because it is not receiving the charge. Make sure the power supply is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector by the way.
