Sold TF, bought it again...

I struggled to find something appealing about Titanfall... spent a week with it, wasn't feeling it, sold it back to the store... but it bothers me that I didn't find my way in this game, so I bought it again... so tell me, how can I fins satisfaction in
Titanfall? I am a die hard COD player, usually top three... run and gun, stay back with long guns< I do it all... all TDM... how can I translate that to Titanfall? I play as a single, never in chat, so Dom is out... that leaves me with Pilot Hunter... Attriton?
Are there other COD folks who have found their way in this game, and found it to be fun? If so, please enlighten me... I want this game to succeed, I want to be good at it... bit on my first run through I just didn't care for it... so... spent good money again...

What will happen after Titanfall?

Actually I bought both consoles, like I did last gen, to try both and be an informed gamer.

PS4 is a great piece of kit, I just didn't enjoy it as much as my X1, doesn't have any exclusives I want this year and I sold it for a profit. Once Uncharted hits I'll look at it again and see if I'll pick it up again.

Anyway enjoy TF regardless of where you play it

 

I'd give all game types a good try, hardly anyone uses the in-game chat at the moment, so that's not a problem. Play on the Variety playlist and you'll eventually find a game type you'll enjoy.

 

May I ask why it bothers you that you couldn't find your way in this game? This game is not for everyne and I would say if you don't like a game, don't force yourself to play it. I fell in love with Titanfall straight after playing
it and I used to be a big CoD fan. I would suggest not playing this game like you do CoD. You can run and gun, but take advantage of the parkour in this game - move from roof to roof because the Titans own street level.

 

Yop, i think you should forget COD when you play Titanfall.

You should find your way and your styles into it.

Try different loadouts with differents games modes ,parkour,move a lot and learn maps are the big things in this game

 

You should not be thinking of COD when you play Titanfall. On the other hand, if you cant get into the game, you cant get into it. Plenty of other games to play.

 

As much as a certain group of people would like you to believe this is just call of duty, it's not. There are many factors. Play it as Titanfall. Find a playstyle that you enjoy. Sniping, Assassination, Rambo... they're all fun, and odds are one of them
will work for you. Then you just find the gamemode you enjoy the most and it's Titanfall time.

 

I liked this game immediately, so maybe this game isn't for you. You shouldn't have to try so hard to like a game. But why do you hate it? Are you losing a lot?

 

play for fun. and you will get better!

 

Its not cod its halo, play it like that and you'll do better

[/quote]JESUS CHRIST! I feel the same exact way relentless. Oh my God. I too need to make sense of this game and come to terms with this game. Why am I not that into it? Why can't I even watch YT, and twitch game play. WHYYYYYYYYYYY? I need something to play.

 

I'm a COD player, but unless they change the format some, I will probably never play it again. Why? Because after playing Titanfall, I find COD BORING! Titanfall is engaging and fun. And if you're skillful at FPS, you'll get the hang of it. I got my butt
kicked early on, and really didn't start doing well at this game until around level 25 or 30. I got the feel for the game, playing as a pilot, and in a titan. As a pilot, there is so much you can do compared to COD, so there is a bit of a learning curve.

 

This game may resemble CoD but is nothing like it...Stop thinking/playing like CoD and you'll find the magic that is [tag:Titanfall]. Don't think in the horizontal plane only...you have to think vertical

 

Agree with what people are saying, you should not play this game like CoD, if you are spending a lot of time running around on the ground it's not going to be much fun...
