Removing access to my profile

I sold my old Xbox 360 and will be rebuying one at a later date. I did not remove my profile from the old console. How can I protect my information as well as gamer content with out having an Xbox currently?

How do I remove my old email address?

If your account is somehow holding on to the old email address, you can try calling phone support (support.xbox.com/contact-us) to get this updated. I'm not sure what they can do, but that's
about the only suggestion I have at this point.

Head over to Sign in to your Microsoft account and sign in, scroll down to your Xbox, click on more actions and chose Remove.

Hi there,

if it's an Xbox One console, all you have to do is the change your password (and security settings) that will result in the new owners not be able to use your account. If they have you can likely see that here:
Sign in to your Microsoft account

If it's a Xbox 360 then please do the following after you changed the password and security details too:

To remove your profile from any Xbox 360 console vis this link:
https://account.xbox.com/profile/protection

Select Xbox 360 Profile Protection.

Select Require Profile Download.

if that console was your Home console then you can remove that too via Manage devices on

https://account.microsoft.com/devices/

That should do it.

Sign out of account, go to CONSOLE and REMOVE PROFILE, RESTART THE CONSOLE, after restart do a FRESH INSTALL of ACCOUNT, now sign in and see if any change. now on ipod remove app, restart ipod, then do a fresh install of app and try to sign
into account. See if it works now

How do i re install my account??? I did delete my profile and signed back In but it didn’t do anything. I honestly do not want to lose any progress on my games.

good afternoon

Sign in to your Xbox profile.

Navigate to the "Settings" menu by pressing the Xbox button on your controller and selecting the gear icon.

Select "Account" from the Settings menu.

Under the "Your Information" section, select "Account Security."

Enter your account password if prompted.

Scroll down to the "Xbox Profile" section and select "Manage Gamertag."

Choose the gamertag that you want to remove and select "Remove."

Follow the prompts to confirm that you want to remove the gamertag.
