Software updates

I have to frequently do software updates on my xbox one even though i have auto updates on. These software updates happen probably about 4 times a week, what can i do?

It tells you whenever an app or game is updated when you next switch on your Xbox, in the notifications.

Thought so. The lack of communication on the party and blu ray stuff especially is really starting to grate on me.

Sounds like you are in the insider/preview program. You should contact them and let them know about the issue.

You can try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this to see if it will help. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the
power cord back in and restart the console.

Hi, it's normal behaviour for insider updates to happen 4 times or more a week. If you don't want to keep updating like that, then you can either change the update ring you are in or remove the console from the program completely, by using the Xbox Insider
app.

ASIDE FROM THE FACT THAT I AM AN INSIDER.

I SHOULD NOT be required to install some update that should have installed while the console is in power down mode.

This constant updating just because I might or not be in that program microsoft should have these updates down to a science; these mandatory updates have interrupted my evenings idk how many times.

it is really [Mod Removed - Profanity] annoying, I am not paying to sit and wait for updates when I get home from work...i pay to play

automatic updates are enabled. Some Xbox Insider updates may arrive during the day which is why you are getting them while the console is in use. The

I had no issues with TV or the OneGuide before the update. Now TV is basically unusable.

i would do hard reboot by holding the xbox button til it turns off then pull power for 30 seconds.

@Corn....how many times does someone have to tell you....COD is being hosted by Activision servers not Microsoft....this was explained in another thread.....and no, everything is not going to the west coast and then back to you, there are servers on the
East coast.....
