    Software for pc to remap xbox one controller button?


    I got the new XBOX One controller and connected it to my PC via bluetooth (Win 10, Anniversary Update). After that I updated it via XBOX accassory app. No problem so far.

    My question: Is there any possibility in Win 10 or with any other 3rd party software to remap the buttons on the controller or to programm a macro? For excample, I used to play with the PS4 controller on my PC via Bluetooth and there were different programms
    with which I was able to bind for excample F5 to the PS4-Button or to programm a certain sequence of button pressings (macro) to the click of the left trigger, etc.

    Can I have the same possibility of costumization under Win 10 with my controller mentioned above?

    Xbox One Eliete Controller button remapping question

    I would think you could clone a button function, but not make a "dead" button. Just my experience with other PC controller remap software

    Be Able to Map a Xbox one Elite Controller button also to a keyboard key with Xbox Accessories software on windows 10

    who i we talk to about fixing the Xbox Accessories software on windows 10 - to also be able to remap the Xbox one Elite Controller button(s) to a keyboard key?

    This Product would be Perfect if we could be able to do that.

    I agree, but the problem is that even this remapping is limited to the available buttons that are seen on a standard controller, this is not extensible at this time. The Elite controller features back buttons, but they can only be remapped to standard functions, the limitation is placed by the current XInput software, not by the hardware manufacturers, so a software limitation is imposed on developers. Xinput was designed to replace DirectInput, but the feature set is seriously short.

    DirectInput - Older API - 8 Axis, 128 Buttons + POV

    Xinput - Newer API 4 Axis, 10 Buttons, 2 Triggers + POV

    This is why PC games favour DirectInput over Xinput, but Xbox platform only supports Xinput at this time.

    I'm a bit confused as to what you're looking for. If you're looking to remap buttons to a controller, via PC, there are options. On Windows 10,

    there is the Xbox Accessories app you can use.     That article is from Windows Central which has pretty good articles for this sort of thing. But is there another issue you're experiencing? I'm having a bit of trouble following what the issue is.
