softeware emulator

my son has an xbox 360 and he he recently bought a new xbox original game called Crash Nitro Kart. he opened it, put it in the 360 and it would play. it said he needed an original hard drive so, he bought a new official microsoft xbox hard drive 250 gb.
he put that in and tried it again. the game still wouldn't play. but now it gives him a different error message. now it says, "gaame error" the game couldn't start. try downloading the game again. for more help, visit

1. ok, first it wasn't a downloaded game, it is an actually disc. it is not a ripped off copy or anything, it is a brand new (just tore the plastic of of it) game.

2. the new hard drive is a brand new (just took it out of the box) Official microsoft hard drive.

3. we have check the official list,
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-other-devices/original-console/play-original-games on the xbox site, of original xbox games compatible with the xbox 360, and the game Crash Nitro Kart it on the list. so it is suppose to work.

4 it is NTSC

5. xbox updates are all up to date. updated it yesterday

6. have cleared the cache

7. made sure the hard drive was formatted

8. made sure the hard drive was all the way in, and in correctly

i am not sure what the software emulator is but i do know that if you have and Official Mcrosoft hard drive it is suppose to have the emulator already in it. so i should not be having these issues.

Will Xbox One ever have Backwards Compatibility?

There's no Xbox emulator. There's no 360 emulator. There's no PS3 emulator. There are attempts at the first and last, but they are a far cry from what is required for complete emulation.

 

Emulations of emulators

I heard they can't do Xbox emulation because of some legal issues concerning the outsourced hardware of the original Xbox. No, outsource isn't the right word. Would subcontracting be the word I'm looking for? Anyway, some legal issues over all the different companies that provided hardware components for the Xbox. I know that I've felt the same way. I would love to play all my original Xbox games, again. There were so many games that never made the BC list for the 360, and overall Xbox emulation kinda sucked on the 360. Though, since you brought it up, I feel overwhelmed by the need to - and must post a short list of games that never made the BC list on the 360 that I liked. Forgive me, but I just gots ta.

*I know these games are available on other systems, but I'm talking directly about Xbox to Xbox 360. None of the above-listed games ran on the 360. Again, I would love if a deluxe emulation thinger was created for Xbone to run all classic Xbox titles, but I do know that won't happen anytime ever.

BTW, when is Sonic Mania suppose to hit? I think Sonic Generations should be added to the BC list to coincide with the game's release.

 

You should be able to play it. Are you connected to Xbox Live when you go to play the game? If not, you may need to be.

 

yes he is connected to xbox live but the game still won't play..

acutually did that already, it was number 6 on the above list. but i did it again just now to make sure, did not help, game still doesn't work

 

How did you format the hard drive? If the hard drive was a brand new official hard drive, why did you need to format it? I don't think that it should have needed formatting if it were a brand new official hard drive. If you don't mind me asking, where
did you purchase the hard drive and how much did it cost?

 

it might be a japan disc, does he have any other original xbox games, not 360...u may say it ntsc, but there 2 kind of them, japan and north America, if you dont believe me..look your self..en.wikipedia.org/.../List_of_Xbox_games_compatible_with_Xbox_360
