Social Disconnect & a Call to Arms!

I'm actually finding it hard to play with friends on Titanfall. In the 3 days of having it, I've only had 1 full party so far. Every time I send invites out for people to join they're either already doing something else, playing with other friends, are full
up, or simply don't respond. Other times, they come, but they take a long time (trying to finish their current game for example) & I get tired of waiting. If I try to join them, they're either deep into a conversation with others that I have no interest in
or are already full up so I can't join them in the 1st place.

Even the 1 time I had a full party, it wasn't that much fun because we ended up playing against another full group that was really cheap because they kept going to the highest point of every map with sniper rifles & cloaks & steamrolled us because we couldn't
figure out how to get up to said spot or bring them down. They would also call in their Titans nearby to guard the spot down below - so we're getting sniped from above, can't see them because of their constant cloaking, & had to contend with giant metal behemoths
down below. It was NOT fun.

Also, I have never begged for more friends (there's no need to) & quite frankly, I'm offended you think I am. I'm simply telling it like it is & was offering ways you guys could make your social experiences more fruitful while playing online. If you choose
not to, then that's your choice.

 

If it is in the game, it's legal. Just adapt and overcome.

2? No, I think your statement is flawed. These kinds of things can ruin the fun of the game for others - & that is something I will NEVER be okay with.

 

Okay because I'm tired of seeing this thread bumped, I'm going to try to bridge the gap with some suggestions.

1. gg - stop trying so hard. It's NOT helping. Sometimes the less one says, the better. Pushing too hard to get friends, is actually pushing people away.

2. Someone here made some suggestions to you that may have been painful to hear, but maybe there is some truth to it. If you really act the way the person described, you might be having trouble finding people to play TF with because you've annoyed them
in previous games and now they avoid you. Even though the suggestions should have been given to you privately, maybe you should consider what the person said.

3. There is a titanfall thread now you'll have a much better chance of finding some friends there. Just don't make a thread like this over there. Just state that you are looking for friends, or read through the threads there.

I'm NOT lonely or in denial people - I have people I play with every day. This thread was made to share ideas on how to increase social activity for EVERYONE, not just me. I'm merely using my past experiences to convey those ideas. I swear you guys are too
eager to judge ME based on what I post rather than actually stay on topic & offer up ideas on how we as a community can be even more sociable. I will say it 1 more time - it's not about ME, it's about the Xbox Live COMMUNITY. Unless you can share some of those
ideas, I don't want you posting here. Let's make Xbox Live even better than it already is.

GG, do you understand why people think this is all about you? Your OP is littered with I, I, I and more I's. Just stop for a moment and reread what you initially wrote. I think you are an OK person but the consistent spamming of invites and 'check out my
clip' messages are quite annoying. Not to mention the fact you use your Kinect as a mic and you never let anyone get a word in edgewise. How can I be social with you if you never let me talk? Or anyone else in the party for that matter? No one wants to watch
movies while in a party with you or anyone else for that matter. Maybe if it were football season but not now. Even the post Bizarro just quoted is littered with I's. Just stop for a second and think how your attitude can be changed to where people are inviting
you left and right without hesitation.

Two out of three things you mentioned, it would be nice if there was a way to inform devs about. In a more detailed way, is what I am getting at. What you mentioned about the players getting to the highest point in TF maps.
That is something all players can do, you need to learn the spots to get up there.

Quick scoping with always be around no matter the shooter. Just wait until people get comfortable with the two sniper rifles in TF. There will be scores of people trying for their own YT video all the time. It is just one of
those things that will be in the game.

Also, what would you think the outcome of being shot at close range with say a M40A3 rifle. Which has a muzzle velocity of 2550 ft per second. And compared that to any rifle shooting 5.56mm round weighing 63 grams, that has
a muzzle velocity of 2970 Ft per second. I would guess that you would be severely wounded/killed by both weapons. FYI, info came from links below.

24hrs, if you'd play with me recently you would know that I've been using the headset a lot more often lately (seems to work better after controller update). Also, I let people talk all of the time - I did it just this evening, with 4 friends of mine while
playing Titanfall; we must've played for 4 hours & I made a new friend to boot. as for invites, I send them for the exact same reason everybody does - there's nothing wrong with that. As for the "check out my video" messages & the "I's" in my posts - that
I can actually agree with you on & I will work on that. That being said, if anyone who plays with me has an issue with how I like to keep in touch with my friends & socialize, they're more than welcome to mute or block communications with me if it bothers
them - I won't take it personally. But I assure you, if you do, you'll be missing out on some fun times!

Trust me, that is me taking a joke. Back in the Rainbow Six MP days, I would have cursed you out and blocked communications with anyone.

If you are looking for balance in a COD game, you looking in the wrong place for good weapon balance. As soon as the trend came out to YT yourself spinning around and jumping off stuff. All balance and "military tactics" went
out the window, that game is just for hate spurting 12 year old. You are much better off playing Battlefield for weapon balance until another Rainbow Six/Ghost Recon game comes out.
