When you go to the network settings of your console, what NAT status is the Xbox console showing?

While it might seem like a Xbox issue, as the console was working fine at your friends house, you might connect differently to the internet. Your router might not be able to support UPnP (that the Xbox uses to automatically open multiplayer and party ports),
or you might be stuck with a Carrier Grade NAT, when your internet provider puts you and several other customers behind a large router, which causes you to have a double NAT, also preventing you from having a good multiplayer connection.

So in order to help you better, it would be great, if you could provide us with information about the NAT status your console detects, what network devices you use to get online, and ask your internet provider if they use CG-NAT with DS-Lite to get you online,
or if you really have a public IPv4 address without any tunneling techniques.

I'm having a similar problem. I got on today after work and it was refusing to let me in a party or even start one. When I invite someone to a party it doesn't even do anything. I fixed it by resetting like 4 or 5 times but now it's back to doing it.

If you haven't done so yet, try
power cycling your console first. That is the easiest thing to try and can usually clear up a lot of issues that may arise. If that doesn't work, try

re-adding your account to your console.

These servers all insane I'm sure if we are playing against all these PC and MAC players we don't have a chance .. Connections are so bad . We pay for new high expensive routers and modems pay high for higher speeds and still we lag all day every night
. Grrrrr Xbox fix and help the people who spends hard precious $ to have a gd time playing .

Came here to complain about the same problem. I'm from Brazil and I'm having connection issues daily. My internet is more than enough to play online and everything is configured properly. They should compensate us in some way when problems like this avoid
us from playing online.
