I just had an interesting experience where in game chat with friends while playing CoD:AW, I all of a sudden couldn't hear anyone. According to messages they sent me, they couldn't hear me either. We started a party and the problem still persisted - the
party menu wouldn't even register anyone speaking at all. I rebooted my game and it fixed it for a few seconds, but then the problem came back. I checked the headset, but it appeared to work just fine because I could still here the game itself, and that wouldn't
necessarily explain why they couldn't hear me either. To be on the safe side, I tried a different headset anyways - same problem. Then we did a hard-reset with each of our consoles - it worked momentarily for my friends like when we rebooted the game, but
not for me - the problem still persisted. I even left a feedback report via my console to report the issue. Finally, I checked the Xbox Live Service Alert and all it tells me is "social and gaming limited" - I figured that that's why there's a problem - it
has to do with the service. While I appreciate the fact that they're working on it, I do wish they'd be more specific as to what exactly the issue is and what they're doing to resolve it, so we are in the know and not only guessing.

In any case, the reason for this thread is not to seek answers (although if you could provide them, that would be nice), but rather to simply vent for a bit (since there seem to be so many service alerts lately) and to find out if anyone else has recently
suffered from the same issue in particular and how that may have affected you or your friends.

Why is Social and Gaming Limited seriously 2 days in a row i can't play games on Xbox One.This is getting old quick.

 

Im having the same problem. Im from Brazil. I can play my GTA5 online, but this message appears on the network.

 

It won't let me join my friend 4th I ends parties but when I go to internet settings says social and gaming issue

There's no service alert on xbox live status NZ on this site (the only alert is sharing screanshots on Xbox 360 using facebook or something.

I'm on Xbox 360 right now and it's Friday evening for me. On Tuesday voice messages and party were working beauteeeefull. I joined a friends party he mainly plays on 360 like me and he just got an Xbox 1 last week we both live in NZ. And everything was working
fine. I think he got a bit jealous and annoyed since I was using my Kinect to talk (on Xbox 1). I finally.... pulled out the included headset I got with my Xbox 1 Day One console which I've NEVER used til Tuesday just gone, and he said way better when I was
using Kinect I sounded like I was talking in an auditorium or I sounded like 4 years older. But it's better than the Xbox 360 Kinect which he has and I don't.

Try back tomorrow or the following day. One of my Xbox 360 friends shes from Australia kept on loosing connection to Xbox Live while playing Minecraft Xbox 360. I told her not to keep cool and that she tried restarting her router and console. I told her
it could be an issue on Microsofts side since Microsoft's servers aren't 100% reliable. People on here who say "it's your internet" are NOT always right. We can put the blame on Microsoft or those responsible for ever dos attacking XBL. I hope she doesn't
go ahead with recycling her Xbox 360 she was talking about it last night and sent me a vm today m2af.

Xbox 1's hardware is fine. But it is Microsoft technology: software that runs your console and servers your console connects too. Don't expect it to be perfect. I too get annoyed when I have issues. But my friends don't hear me swearing about it in party
chat.

 

party chat is causing major problems at the moment.. even goign as far as causing full live disconnects for some

 

Xbox 360 is fine ive been on with friends. Sorry next gen is experiencing problems lol. Microsoft should have it fixed soon.

 

For some reason I have been really fortunate. During Red Service alerts (no matter the respective platform Xbox One or Xbox 360) I hardly experience issues. But if there is an issue I run into it is more likely to be Xbox One's party chat.
