I understand that you are upset, but in the grand scheme of things you didn't change anything. It cost me $9.99 to omit the letter I from my gamertag but be aware that the I may no longer be in my name, I am still behind the controller, lol.

No one here complained about your tag, and you certainly wouldn`t get a forced change because you beat someone in a game.

If your tag was deemed offensive and you only changed one letter there is a good chance it will get another forced name change.

A second forced name change can result in a permanent xbox live ban.

Considering I am Native, I don't see the issue with the name BangKaos. An email from live assured me however that someone did indeed complain, maybe just someone who doesn't use the forums is what theownedkiller meant. Checking the legality of the forced
change, the impact does affect other aspects beyond live. ie, MLG and validity in other clan rosters, during the finals on the premiere season of Lost Planet:EC, our opponents used the name complaint with their friends to very effectively remove 2 key players
from our roster to secure their victory. Maybe xbox should look into contacting the account holder and assume some resemblance of due process.

 

Microsoft do not need to contact you at all, you are warned in the code of conduct not to choose an offensive tag.

They will not contact you the second time either, they will just give you a ban till the year 9999.

It's not offense to me or any other North American Indian I've played with on here. I'm native to Mi'kma'kik, what is now called Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Eastern Quebec and Maine, Newfoundland and PEI. I live in Pesitisk, Sekepne'katik District. I personally
don't care if they contact me or not, but saying they won't seems like prediction to me, lol. The occurrence during our MLG playoff was investigated 9 years ago I believe, by live and MLG. Coincidental friends and complaints from people who never played those
players complained on was found, but nothing changed. Wouldn't happen now tho, playoffs are worth big bucks now, we were happy with just bragging rights back then. I don't have to go away sorry its my post, don't reply. You don't have to get all bent out of
