So Xbox One is not getting Sky Go App??

I believe PS4 got an update during this week and go the Sky Go app, does that mean Sky have done a partnership deal with Sony and not Microsoft? Yeh its a gaming console but I use to enjoy watching tv on xbox 360.

I only use my 360 for sky go i would of sold it by now if sky go was on ps4 but its not but i think now is the time to upgrade to xbox one but can anyone tell me if it has sky go so i can sell 360 to get extra games ect

Sky Go app??

I love my Xbox One but one thing that has really disappointed me is the lack of apps; there's no ITV Player and, most of all, there's no bloody Sky Go app! This is becoming a joke now. The PS4 has had Sky Go support for months now and yet there seems no
sign of the Xbone getting a Sky Go app.

Can someone from Microsoft please let me know why on earth it's taking so long? All my friends who have an Xbox One are annoyed about this.

I doubt there is an exclusive "partnership"...it is up to the companies (Sky Inc?) as to whether they want an app to be produced/released. Contrary to what so many seem to believe, Microsoft does not make every app. Nor do they own all these media companies
(HBO, Sky, Showtime, Xfinity, etc.). Your best bet at getting an app you want is to let that particular company hear your voice (email Sky).

From how I understand it, the only way to access Sky Go is through the TV from Sky app on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.

Xbox One and Series X|S console apps - some apps may not be available in your country/region.

Set up TV from Sky on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S - step by step guide, which also mentions:

Please be aware that Sky Go Extra is referred to as TV from Sky when downloading or selecting the app on your console.

So don’t listen to anything that says you need the Sky Go app, as this app isn’t available on Xbox consoles. I believe you can access the service through the Sky app on Xbox One, as long as you’re connected to Xbox Live and have Sky Go Extra on your Sky account.

The Sky Go app is available on compatible smartphones, tablets, laptops etc. Just not on consoles, which explains why you’re unable to find it on your Xbox One.

I didn´t know there is a sky go app. In Germany we have only the sky ticket app which is sadly not for sky go. wish we would have the sky go app for the one...

If you don´t get the app to work I would delete the app, clear the Cache of the console. Also do a power cycle and then reinstall the app. Hope you get the app working again.
