So Windows 10

They need to bring back what ever they had on 360....it is what made 360 so much better than the ps3. I don't love what ever they have on the one....oh an I hate windows 8. I uninstalled it on my computers.

There will be a common developer platform across all Windows devices, including smartphones, tablets, PCs and the Xbox One, so a developer will be able to write one app and have it work on them all. From what I understand though, MS are going to continue
to curate the Xbox Store, so it won't mean that if there's 300,000 apps on Windows Phone, all of those will be available on the Xbox One as well.

The Windows kernel also powers part of the Xbox One, so when you're browsing the dashboard or using an app like Skype - that's basically Windows.

I would assume that we'll see a more radical update to the Xbox One after Windows 10 launches, a bit like when NXE came out for the 360, but not as big a change as that.

 

From the IGN video it looks like they have taken older windows UI, and windows 8 and merged them together, it does look interesting IMO.

 

One of the things I've always hated about Windows 8 is how they separated the desktop from the Windows 8 UI, so I for one am particularly happy about Windows 10.

 

If any of you have an extra PC lying around and want to test out Windows 10, here's the link to the preview program. I wouldn't test it on a main system you use all of the time. You never know what could happen.

It's better to use VMware Player or VMware Workstation if your processor and motherboard supports virtualization.

 

I like how Windows 10 the UI looks more like Windows 7. I don't really like the Windows 8 UI even though in Windows 8.1 they give you the ability to change the desktop and stuff's background. It's like they took a gothic approach to Windows 8. I guess my
HP Pavilion dv6 with intel core i5 4gb ram and Windows 7 home 64-bit; needs to last at least until it comes out late next year-ish. DDR4 Ram should be out for PC's too, right? I would still like it to play games which you can play on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 like
The Sims 4 or The Sims 3. Still, it's a long wait until Windows 10 comes out. Usually when M brings out a new Windows OS they make it so that it's compatible with your printer games and stuff which your pervious OS may have been compatible with. Say you have
a multi-purpose printer/phone/fax or smartphones and it came with a disc saying compatible with windows vista/7! and being able to install it on a window 7/8/8.1 .

 

10 is the best of both worlds (win 7 and 8).

You can mix and match different aspects of both OS's.

As far as the DDR4 Ram goes, it should be part of every new MoBo by 2015 but not a sys req. for Win 10.

I noticed that for someone (smiliekybird) that's running a 64 bit OS, you're not getting the full potential of the OS by only snapping in 4 GB's of RAM. Max it out Man!

 

Do you guys thunk that the dya this comes out we will have another 10 hours downlaod install process ?
