So Windows 10

So Windows 10 seems to be coming to Xbox one based on the snapshot posted on gamespot.

I wonder what changes and impact on memory will this hold

Well, he's the head of the Xbox division, so it must mean something Xbox. Since it is a Windows 10 conference, I can only imagine a few things it will be,

• Windows 10 integration on Xbox One.
• The revival of a games focused program for Windows 10 (like Games for Windows or a Steam competitor)
• Exclusive Windows 10 games (Halo Wars 2, Minecraft 2, etc.) or just other games coming to Windows 10 (Killer Instinct)

Yes, need Windows 10 for now. I'm happy we're finally upgrading to Windows 10 at work. It's so much better than previous Windows.

 

Read that Windows 10 will be the last full distribution of Windows, and they will be moving to smaller more frequent updates.

Will be interesting to see how this will affect the Xbox platform.

 

should be interesting .. the image placer looked weird for Xbox One though .. hopefully they implement it a bit better next year.

 

I am not a Windows user, was there an Windows 9 or did they skip from 8 to 10?

 

Windows 10 coming to Xbox One? Link please? I'm planning on upgrading my computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10 if its any good.

 

there's no link. just an image from the reveal showing all of the windows 10 devices and a TV with Kinect/Xbox One was on the image. the image had every device on it.

 

We won't be getting the full OS, just window apps and games and directx 12

Maybe stupid Question how will they add this to Xbox if am right new UI?

 

I imagine it would mostly be background operations that would help the UI move faster and more smoothly.

 

Add it same way as they do on pc just download and install btw doesnt the xbox have windows 8.1 full well almost full as it has 3 OS

 

Windows 10? What happened to Windows 9 or was Windows 8.1 it? I don't like the idea of them putting a PC OS on a console aka Xbox. A console should have it's own special OS. I love the current OS on the Xbox 360. But if it enables me to still enjoy my Xbox
1 experience I won't have any problems with it and if they don't leave out further Xbox Live Features which help made the last gen really popular like Voice Messaging and change the Dash background and that it's secure and safe. Viruses on an Xbox 360 and
Xbox 1 have been practically negligible. One of my friends said their friend got a virus/malware on the Xbox 360. We debated how is that possible since everyone knows reports of them are non existent on genuine consoles, and know Microsoft strictly keeps their
Xbox Live service secure and user friendly. Well at least Xbox 1 has 8GB DDR3 RAM to play with. Windows Vista was a horrible OS ran more processors and much more resources and slower but Windows 7 when it came out is a good OS.
