    So why about 3 months after my warranty runs out does my xbox series x shut off out of nowhere and can't be turned back on unless I unplug and plug back in? Why should I have to pay an extra $300 on top of what I paid for the system?

    Wy my series x won't link with microsoft store ?

    It was not the hard drive, but the disc drive, my console can't read disc. And my warranty expired since my new console had 3 months after they change it! The 1st series x was changed even if my warranty was expired, but the employee I got on chat, push my case to higher level because of the particularity of my case. And it was accepted and they give me a 1 month extension on the warranty so I could get my series x changed. I told that to the xbox support employee today and he was saying that it cannot happen and it didn't happen. He have my info and I even have the email they sent me the day it was accepted. With details about the warranty extension! This story is a joke. I'm gonna do something about it, but for the moment, I'm waiting for my console to be repaired and using my old xbox one!

    GPU problems with Xbox Series X

    I haven't had a lot of time to play on my Xbox Series X lately. I am having to send it back for repairs again. Apparently whoever did the repair did not replace something correctly.

    After an hour or so with the Xbox on it will flash to a green screen with a loud buzzing sound and completely shut off. It never did this before while I owned it. All others that have experienced this problem have stated this is caused by an overheating issue requiring the Xbox to be sent in for repairs.

    Now in less than a year, my Xbox Series X has had to be sent back twice for repairs. I wonder how long this Xbox is going to last once out of warranty.

    This is very annoying and does not give me confidence in the new Xbox engineering.

    Xbox Series X turning off by itself

    In my experience the notification about overheating occurs after you turn the console back on after letting it cool down, about an hour. I've never seen it before it turns off, and only had overheating on a Xbox One X. The side tiny vents were blocked with dust which required vacuuming out every other month.

    Haven't had overheating on my Xbox Series X.

    Elden Ring is resource intensive. Could you hear Series X fan working overtime while you were playing?

    If so I would send the console back to get repaired and / or replace it.

    anyone else on their third or more XBOne within the first year?

    My first xb1 just wouldn't fully turn on after just over a month. About 5 seconds after pressing the on button, it would lock up and shut back off. A few days ago my second ones disc drive stopped pulling discs into the system. It still ejects just fine
    if you force a game in, but will not load the game no matter how far in you push it. I still love the system and its capabilities, but it's concerning to think that if this happens past March of next year, it'll be out of warranty and i'll be S.O.L. I realize
    upfront that the system only comes with a year warranty, but does anyone expect to get less than 3 years out of a gaming system?
