so who else has not regular sounds coming from the fan?

Well already on my second Xbox 1S because my first one just under two weeks old started making a loud clicking noise from the fan to heat port. Now the new one I got on Xmas eve, the fan sounds like a low purr almost..but I'm afraid it may get worse or louder...if
it does I'm exchanging until I get one that stays silent like MS said the one S would be......I mean it's not as bad as the first on by far...the first one sounded like someone put a playing card in the fan......MS you guys gotta fix this issue, I've seen
tons of posts and videos on YouTube with the same issue I had and possibly might have again...we will see....3rd times a charm right, at least if it starts getting as loud as the old one I don't have to use up my game stop warranty they replace it for a new
one and the warranty carries over to it...then the 30 days starts over and so does the one year in store warranty for a no questions asked exchange...but I mean come on...it's a very common issue

Using a Monitor with no audio output.

Hi all, I am trying to setup my Xbox360 slim in my spare room, I am using my Samsung SA350 Monitor, it has no audio connectors at all.

I am using an HDMI cable for the best quality, this gives me a problem though, there is no way to play sound coming from the xbox, your machine has no jacks for audio apart from the SPDIF one, I have a SPDIF cable but nothing to plug it in, I have a headset
with regular jacks, in fact I have several options for normal sound jacks, but I can't figure out how to get the sound out using regular sound jacks.

Please help.

 

Wierd noise in MP ?

Has anyone else ever noticed a like beep high pitch sound coming from other players headsets?Kinda sounds like a smoke alarm when it needs a new battery.It beeps then a few secounds go by and starts again.A few of my friends noticed this as well.So i know
its not just me.Its just messed up.Cause the way things are these days with video games,with people cheating or modded stuff and all, who knows? Its not in all games,but i been hearing it more and more.

Sorry to hear your console is making a strange noise with the fan. It's likely the console was damaged during shipment unfortunately. If you're still seeing the issue you could exchange the console at the retailer, if that's an option. Or you can setup a
repair online through the Microsoft online service center. The Xbox One console comes with a 1 year warranty for things such as this so keep that in mind as well.

 

well it's been since December 24th and the noise hasn't gotten louder or harsh like the first console I got, my system seems to be working fine. I mean I've had a game stall once but I think that was a isp connection issue. It hasn't overheated I have the
console on for hours and the only heat I feel I should coming right from the top vent right over the fan where heat should be coming out, and it's not hot just kinda warm, cuz my PS3 that thing I could use as a space heater....I still have until Xmas eve 2017
to get an in store exchange and I'll be keeping an eye on it...I feel it gets as harsh or as loud as the first console I'm trading it in asap but Sam of now it's still alike alow purr or fluttery noise, I called MS supper time and the techs talked to said
her Xbox1S makes the same kind a noise...I realize that electronics that create heat need fans like PCs lap tops graphics cards, and consoles, and fans make noise.....but I hope it's fine a story the tec said on the phone....I mean theres a lot o for posts
and videos of the 1S fan making very loud harsh fan noises......so I dunno what to do, leave it for now cuz I have 9 months to get a brand new in the box console cuz I bought Eb games extended warranty which I'm glad I did, cuz if I need to replace to get
my games re installed updated would take hours and 100s of gbs of installation and downloading.

 

For sure, I mean in general the fan does make some noise, but it shouldn't be something that's distracting at all. Sounds like you have your bases covered if you need to get the console exchanged, so I would as you suggest keep an eye on it and act accordingly.
Another thing to keep in mind is you can move installations to an external hard drive and copy them back so if you ever needed to replace the console. If you ever have questions about that, feel free to post a new thread and the community will be able to jump
