So ... where are they?

For me personally, the biggest selling point of the Xbox One was the promise of Free Dedicated Server support for all Xbox One games and so far, out of all the launch titles apparently Forza 5 is the only game using them. So where are they? More to the point,
why have we been mislead? Not even Ryse: Son of Rome & Dead Rising 3 are using them and those games were both made by Microsoft Studios.

After speaking to a clueless @XboxSupport on Twitter, I got told to blame the Developers because it's their fault not Xbox's. But lets be honest, why would Developers not be going with the better option of Dedicated Servers for their games? Is Microsoft
not being encouraging enough? Are they keeping the Dedicated Servers out of the picture to save money on costs? Whatever the reason, I as a consumer feel incredibly cheated and disappointed at the false advertising and misleading quotes from Microsoft.

Where are

the servers for XB1? I understand we're using a "centralized server system", which is saying, to me, nope, we lied, we're not using dedicated servers as we promised buttttt, we're jamming a crapton of them into a very few locations. I'm curious as to where
these locations are as I've still not been able to get into a SINGLE freakin' match on the MCC and Destiny jams up on me from time to time. "loading"

PvZ is supposedly using them and titanfall does, some of the other games do use the dedicated servers in some way or another, it was not going to be 100% dedicated servers for all games, that is up to the developer, but the cloud is going to be playing a
big part in most games eventually.

 

You have not been mislead. Microsoft have always said it's up to the developers. Forza 5 and Titanfall uses Microsoft's servers, I wouldn't know about Plants vs Zombies.. but does Dead Rising 3 and Ryse: Son of Rome need dedicated
servers? What other games that have been published by Microsoft Game Studios need dedicated servers? - What I'm trying to say is the Xbox One does not have many exclusives games at the moment, so even if Ryse and DR3 were using Microsoft's dedicated servers
that would still be only a few games.

We won't see third party developers using Microsoft's dedi servers because would Microsoft allow Sony's PS4 access to them?

 

We will most likely see more games use dedicated soon, does not concern ps4, they have gikia cant remember the spelling lol

 

It has only been 6 months...

 

At this moment Sony's Gaikai and Microsoft's Azure are two different things. Gaikai is a software service that lets you stream games and Azure is a platform which delivers computing platform. That's not to say that Gaikai can't
do the same thing Azure can.

With time I'm sure more and more games will use Azure servers, especially indie titles.
