So What Do You Think Of Microsoft's VR Headset?

I think both the ONE and the PS 4 were rushed.

Something happened to make them both blink and Microsoft was better prepared which is why they have more Next Gen games and exclusives available.

I'm sure Sony will catch up but like last gen they'll more than likely be playing catch up all this gen as well as last.

VR for XBox

What do you guys think? VR for a short while was all the rage and PS4 brought it out but the games library is...meh...at best. Do you think MS should try their hand at VR, or stick to what they know works? Gotta admit, VR Halo would be sick!

 

I been thinking on the VR push?

I been thinking on VR. I feel that we need to look at a VRP then a VR headset. VRP meaning Virtual reality pod. May seem a little more passable then the VR headset. I feel it be more of a basic start point then VR Headset. What you guys think or is just
a complete waste of time and money? Please be smart about what you say.

 

I say they should have just leapfrogged VR and went straight to developing a holodeck....I mean, what were they thinking? Everyone in here would rather have a holodeck. I'm sure of it.

 

Most markets Microsoft lag behind Sony. Sony make better hardware hence less problems reported with PS4. Microsoft have the edge at the moment with games. When it comes to hardware build Microsoft are no where near market leaders. Tablets, Phones, consoles
and now VR Microsoft are behind Sony.

 

do u have something against ms wild oh thats right u odnt like kinect which is a gimmick but u like sonys VR which is a gimmick. and u said sony dont rush stuff ms does and sonys VR has been in dev for 3 years yet they havent given a release date for devs
yet though the rift has a release date for devs

 

@wild thats because sony make tablets tvs etc etc they always have ms are more of a software company which is why there software has always been leaps ahead of sony. xbox live better then psn. xbox UI better then sonys UI

 

Ghostz VR is hardware not software! Oculus Rift is the original blueprint and has most likely been in development longer. But it won't be compatible with the One and PS4 and no nothing against Microsoft. Just annoying that you praise this and that about
Microsoft without thinking.

You take every posting from me as a threat to Microsoft and as this is a hardware thread games don't come into it.

This is the race to bring VR to the masses again and once again MS is last to the party. Which doesn't make a lot of sense, like I said VR combined with Kinect could have a impact for MS!

Looks cool but I am not sold on it yet. I saw a leaked list and Crytec and Epic are working on games for it so could be good.

 

I would hardly describe VR as a gimmick Ghostz it's a clever piece of tech. No doubt used in medical and military simulations. I would hardly call something that trains the best pilots a gimmick.

Just until now no one been able to implement it to good use in gaming. Nintendo tried a long time ago with the Virtual Boy but it didn't take off back then. Now tech has caught up things could be very different.

Regards the holo deck, I would rather have a Tron universe that interest me a lot more.

But Minecraft with VR comparability would be awesome, if any game built for VR it's Minecraft.

Pretty funny being IR Mapping And Motion Capture is two major contributors to Virtual Reality.

 

As far as being "late to the party", when playing poker you don't show your hand...who knows? Even nintendo could have some sort of vr they have been working on for years that blows all this out of the water.....companies don't always develop technology
out in the open for everyone to see. Patents on technology is a lucrative business.

 

@wild sony hasnt beaten ms to anything it isnt a race VR has been out for a while but no one has ever really brought it out i saw something like it on the gadget show 3 years ago
