    So what causes a game to crash back to the dashboard?


    I was really curious because I have been hearing about this a lot. People report that when they launch their games the game will start and kick them back to the dashboard.

    I am not exactly looking for a resolution but I was just curious as to why that would happen?

    Advertisements cause game to crash

    The problem has gone away now. The advertisement video began running and the game challenge(s) would load. Just one of those little mysteries of life, I guess.

    Advertisements cause game to crash

    Today, 24 June, I can log into the game but when I try to load any of the daily challenges and the advertisement video starts to load, the screen goes black with the video progress bar at the bottom indicating the start at 0:00 and a finish of 0:00! It
    just sits there and does nothing. This is also happening with Taptiles. This morning I had a system update applied to my Surface Pro 3. Is there a connection there? I don't know what the system upgrade was about, I just know that every time Microsoft does
    one of those things, something breaks.

    Mine does this occasionally. Sometimes requiring a complete shutdown to stop.

    I found it done it more with battlefield and sometimes with titanfall.

    I would like to know why it does this took

    G'day fufu! Unfortunately there's no solid answer to this. It can vary, depending upon a lot of factors. Our teams have worked hard to reduce a lot of this by fixing some former known issues, and often times

    Power Cycling     your console can help a lot too. In the end what can cause it for one person's console may not be the same issue for another console. Regardless of the cause though, you can always come here for help if it happens to you. =)

    Hi, sorry to hear of your issue. You could try uninstalling the game, then re-install, that sometimes works for games that crash back to the dashboard. Also contacting the developer would be a good idea, to tell them what happens so they can figure out what
    is causing it and release a patch to fix it.

    Yep. It looks like it's still crashing to the dashboard. I have no clue what is causing these crashes anymore.
