  1. So utterly frustrated with the xbox one

    1. Got it for christmas for my kids, and couldn't set it up for 2 days. Who cares about being hacked, get that crap up and running, I paid 50 bucks for Live.....this console hardly works without internet......

    2. HD is slower than absolute frozen crap rolled in peanut butter rolling up a hill covered in thick syrup. Seriously it takes 1 hour to install a f*ing game to the HD????????

    3. Freezes. This thing makes a better freezer than the one above my fridgerator. I can't even make it through a single game of madden 15 w/out it crapping out on me. I've even deleted it and re-installed it 2 times. What the crap Microsoft? My original
xbox is faster at loading times than this thing!

    4. Input lag. The controller on my atari is better than this *** thing, so and sluggish to say the absolute least!

    5. Heat. I baked 4 potates and roasted a turkey the other day while my kid was playing MINECRAFT!

    6. Support. If I wanted to try and learn spanishesegolian and speak through hieroglyphic sudo subliminal card prompts I would go to my local walmart and talk to someone in electronics. Lord have mercy, ask them something off the beaten path and it's uhh
uhh uhh uhh I soddy uh I dawn kno soution to fat, hav u twied rwe setting powa? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I seriously want my money back on this POS 8 lb paperweight.

    :)

yo, this is no biggie (hehe, I think I am so funny sometimes) have you tried any troubleshooting on the console before going all crazy and saying your going to ps4? Honestly, saying your going to ps4 is as believable as there being a real king kong...in
    my honest opinion.

so your NAT is showing strict?

As far as party chat, try these steps:

    1) Clear persistent storage

    2) Turn off your console, unplug all the cords connected to it, hold down the power button for 30 seconds

    3) Plug everything back in, except for the Kinect

    4) Turn on console

    5) Go to controller, take out the batteries, hold down the power button on controller for 30 seconds

    6) Put batteries back in, try party chat

Let me know what happens with that

So utterly frustrated with the xbox one

I feel your pain. I've been loyal to Xbox since the original, I even suffered through the dreaded red ring of death era with Xbox 360. You'd think by now I would've learned my lesson. I'm having issues with sharing achievements, game clips, etc. to my activity
feed. I called support and they put me on a call back list. An hour and a half later I get a call from prehaps the rudest most clueless support tech I have ever spoken with. Long story short the problem is still not resolved.

Did you have a specific support-related question we could help you solve? In the interest of addressing all comments:

    1. Genuinely, there are a large number of issues that CAN be solved by a hard reset - when a upport rep recommends this, it isn't just a random suggestion. To do this, you'll hold the power sensor on your console for 8 seconds, then wait for the power brick
light to turn orange, then power it back up. This clears the memory cache which can fill up after extended periods of use or because of numerous updates. This process fixes slow load times, black screen hangups, etc.

    2. The "hack" issues were resolved by Friday at midday, and if you're experiencing any residual issues, a hard restart should fully reestablish your connection with the Live service. Unfortunately, in this day and age of malcontent virgins living in their
grandmother's basement, with nothing more worthwhile to do with their lives than orchestrate Denial of Service attacks, there will be times when any and all services are knocked out. Xbox has actually been highly reliable compared to other services - Playstation
Network has been knocked out by attacks 3 or 4 times this year and don't seem to have solved their issues. This latest one, PS was down for 4 days, Xbox a little over a day, and it was the 1st time for Live. Likely they've already applied fixes to help prevent
    future interruptions.

    3. Installations aren't just limited by HD speed - when a game installs, it also downloads all updates for the game if you accept when prompted. If you reject the updates, the install shouldn't take long, but if you accept, you're installing from disc and
downloading and installing over the internet, which can take considerable time depending on your internet speed. If you reject updates and your game is still taking over an hour to install, there could be a problem with your hard drive that needs service.
Also, you can upgrade your system with an external drive which can help, too.

    4. The number one solution for games freezing or having long load times is (you guessed it) a hard reset. Another solution is to go to Menu->Settings->Disc & Blu Ray-> Clear Persistent Storage. This works for games, not just Blu Rays despite how it sounds.

    5. Typically, input lag is a result of image post processing done by your TV - if you have options like Black Level Enhancement, Sharpness, Image Correction, and Motion Smoothing turned on, that will result in a delay between doing something on your controller
and the time it takes for that to show up on screen. FWIW, it is recommended to run the Display Calibration in the Xbox One's settings, part of which involves turning off all enhancements on your television.

    6. The Xbox has various levels of heat production, depending on what is being played. As a general rule, though, the fact that you feel the heat outside the system is a good thing, and a success for the new ventilation system. Better out than in!**

**DISCLAIMER 1** It is not recommended to keep potted plants or ice cream cakes near your Xbox One.

**DISCLAIMER 2** Xbox One is not a culinary device - preparation of potatoes and meats on your Xbox One is not advised, and MS is not liable for any ptomaine or salmonella-related incidents.

    Little joke there. ;-D

Yes, honestly last night I was so fed up and angry having tried everything i could find on the web I lost it. I've tried static IP's, all the nonsense like clearing persistent storage, disabling then reboot and enable upnp, I've tried port fowarding then
triggering with limited success (working party chat for one night then next it fails or works with titanfall but not battlefield or vice versa) my biggest problem to my knowledge is we have 2 xbox ones on the same network so when we try to join parties/games
it fails. Any knowledge would be helpful bc I've all but given up.
