SO UPSET!!!

You can play splitscreen in offline mode. So at least two of you can play together. I really do not know if more can play offline if you connect more controllers to your console, but it might be possible. To do this, start the game in offline mode with profile
1, profile 2 then hits start on controller and joins game. To see if more is possible, hit start on controller 3, etc. You do need a HD tv to do this, and if more the two can join, the bigger the better. Hope this helps a bit.

 

So you know, I did this on my own 360. I made two offline accounts and signed them both onto minecraft. I used to have a few other controllers but they have gone the wayside so I could not try it with more then two. I do know, however, that I have had friends
of my son over and on some games they were able to split the scree into 3's, and 4's. The playable screen gets pretty small if you do not have a good sized tv, (mine is a 50 inch), and it still gets to be the size of a standard 19 in tv or so. But this may
also be possible on minecraft, I just can not test it to confirm it.

 

Outsider - Yes we play multi player no problem, but only 4 people can play.

VisageofanAngel - No I did not know that, but it does not matter, I'm not upset at Sony. But that info will help when I'm campaigning against Xbox, Thanks. :0)

 

Can't you play this with out going online, and if that is the case then it is just a check mark on the minecraft start menu, I play with my daughter and she doesn't have a gold account she is silver which everyone gets when they set up an xbox account. Thought
I would throw that out there as long as you don't have to go online (since you are all on the same network) then no more money.

 

You should be able to play on two consoles with no problem. Do you have HD TVs for both consoles? If so, you can play 4 players split screen on an HDTV.

You should only need two Gold accounts to play, the others should be able to play split screen with you.

 

What every one is saying is true, the PS4 and Sony now charge for their service the same as Microsoft does with the Xbox, but the big difference is that the PS4 does not offer for one person to pay for their subscription and every one on the console can
share in it, the One does. You can have a Gold subscription for your own account and the rest of your family does not have to pay for it, they share it with you. So that is, assuming you get the one year subscription for your account, $60 a year and your family
can use it as well. $60 a year for your whole family to have access to Gold services, I think that is what you are missing here. It's the family plan, but better than before.
