SO UPSET!!!

I am extremely upset at this product. I went to great lengths to satisfy my family only to be told, I could do it, if I paid $9.99 per person.

Let me explain,

I purchased an Xbox 360 fully loaded about a year ago, big something Gigabyte HD, 4 wireless controllers, Charging base for the controllers.

Then a couple of months ago I purchased a game called Minecraft.... Kids went nuts.. Got me to try the game I was hooked..

First game I ever played on the Xbox.

SOOOOOOOOOO 4 kids and me, how can we all play.. look up Xbox Minecraft, found minecraft Wiki - says can play 8 players AWESOME!.. just need another console, so I go out buy another console another wireless controller, and another copy of Minecraft (Which
BTW I just found out I could have bought it online and downloaded it rather than drive the 112 miles to buy another copy .. Just wanted to throw in the fact I drove 112 miles for a damn game).

NOW I get this wiki page up again, and the network cable from one machine to another is not working, it says I need a switch or router, so I go buy a router and hook it all up. (Yup another nice 112 mile trip I live on the coast small town..) So I try to
get it working, its a no go.. I'm like ok enough of this I get online and get me a tech in chat, Eric, nice guy very polite and just so happens is a Minecraft player.. YES! only on PC not Xbox? really ok.. kewl tho ..

After AN HOUR+ of try this and that, I am told the only way to do this is to buy a gold membership for each member of my family, at $9.99 each per month!

I AM SO UPSET!! I WILL NEVER EVER NEVER spend money on a Microsoft product again... EVER!!!!! I'm going Apple and Sony from now on.. and I'm going to try to take back these Xboxes for a refund.. WHAT THE HECK WAS I THINKING!!@!@!@! wow...

Anytime you purchase gold from Xbox there is a disclaimer that warns you that it will renew each month unless you turn off auto renewal. If you don't turn off auto-renewal and they are unable to charge your payment option, you begin to accrue a balance that
has to be paid off. After a certain time, they suspend your account until that balance is paid. So you would need to either add a new payment option or add funds to the card you already had on file in order to pay off that balance before you can redeem the

Why the hell are you asking me to download new puzzles when I have written at least TEN MESSAGES THAT I CANNOT DOWNLOAD along with thousands of others. Please get off your butt and help these thousands. HELLO, ARE YOU THERE? HELLO ! HELP ME !
I HAVE FALLEN INTO PUZZLE HELL AND CANNOT GET OUT !

 

Oh I'm not an expert at Xboxes, I tried to do my homework before going out and buying all this crap.. Don't pick on me for trying to do something for my family I just hope I can prevent it from happening to someone else.

 

It would actually be cheaper to just purchase a yearly subscription for each account. Most online places (Amazon, newegg, etc.) usually have 12 month subscriptions on sale for $30-40 instead of paying for a monthly subscription.

Sorry to hear you had all this problem. But there is another bit of info that wiki probably didn't tell you. The console you bought could have been connected without an ethernet cable if you have wireless on your service.

Well if it helps you can by a family pack for the online account is $25.00 per person for a year up to 4 players so $100.00 for the year. verses $50.00 per person for a year for individual accounts.

 

Pink - The family plan was discontinued several months ago. It is no longer an option.

 

All of you are great, however it still does not fix the issue that I have to spend more money just so my Family can play 1 game together. Horrable.. money grubbing Microsoft.. Good news is I have managed to so far talk two people out of buying the new Xbox
one and go with the PS4 instead.. and I will continue to campaign against Xbox.

 

You do realize that the PS4 and Xbox One have pretty much identical pay walls right?

 

Yeah, on the PS4 you have to pay to play online there as well. With the One all accounts on a console can share a gold subscription as well. It's just the 360 that requires separate subscriptions.
