  1. So There I Was...

So there I was, waiting for the final 10 seconds to count down & win the match, 65-64 on Hainan Resort during Team Deathmatch. I had joined the game an hour earlier only to find that 3 players on the opposing team were bullying a poor sap who was all alone
on my team. I decided to help the poor lad out. I used the Kinect & communicated enemy movement to him so he & I could intercept & flank them. I also spotted the enemy as often as I could. As an **** class, I would often use him as bait, let him get killed,
kill his killer(s), & then revive him - this allowed him to hurt them & waste their bullets while getting many assists. I got points for actual kills when the enemy realized that they would have to reload their gun & for the revival of my teammate (this tactic
put me in tier 1 for revives by the way). In exchange, he made sure I never ran out of bullets with his support class ammo packs & received points for that. After being under well over 30 points, our teamwork had brought us back neck & neck against a superior
force (3 vs. 2) & we decided to camp the last 30 seconds in order to win by time-out. And then it happened...

...a random joined in the last 3 seconds of the match, promptly took 5 steps & died. The clock reset with added time. The random respawned, took 5 more steps & promptly died again. The game was over - we lost by 1 point.

...an entire hour lost because of a random. I hate randoms. If you're a random, here's my advice - never play alone. You just might ruin somebody's day...

So, what's your story? Where were you?

    :)

I came across this: Heartbroken Xbox One employee lets rip. | HeyUGuys GamingHeyUGuys Gaming

This is pretty old, but what I really loved were the comments on this - anyway, the thing is that extra special "Family Share" feature is basically a demo ranging from 15-60 minutes. It was never just sharing games (which doesn't make much sense anyway if you think about it) more like a really long commercial in order to get more customers maybe. So DRM and Spam in one tidy package. Also before anyone attacks - note that the library only allows you and one person in at a time. It isn't something that works for groups at a time. I don't know how that rumor got started. So yeah, what do you think?

I never cared for Family Share, anyway, because it didn't sound very practical. But I also had an inkling that there was something huge they weren't telling this, along the lines of what the article is talking about. It seems like a company so hard up for money would just let people share games like that.

  6. "So, there I was..." sounds like my recounting any number of poor decisions I made during my youth.

  7. Moral of the story, NEVER and I mean NEVER try to "camp" it out and win in the end. GO KILL THE ENEMY, maybe you would have won? Or play with full parties and wreck noobs.

    So There I Was...

I've seen too many games lost because of scrubs with a 40x scope doing NOTHING to help the team. I avoid every useless scrub I come across. those panty waste 'snipers' are afraid to play TDM, because even when killing the enemy is the objective, they still
    can't 'cap' an objective.

  15. For the M40A5, you just need 130 kills to unlock the 40x.

@Parallax, I am glad they included carbines for the Recon. I would have been mad if I couldn't rock a boonie hat from time to time on the Battlefield. I think a lot of players use Recon because they think they are MLG snipers
or think they know how to use a spawn beacon.

So there I was, spawning in between the A/C units on top on the high rises in Shanghai. But we got the M-coms because of that, 1 in a million times a camping Recon helps the team.
