    Since my last post has been locked... I'll continue the conversation here. From what I'm understanding is that you're saying the Microsoft Rep at the retail location was confused. I understand there may been miscommunication along the chain, but not amongst
    the rep and myself as I was completely direct in my question and the rep was under the understanding that the promotion was valid. As a consumer who makes buying decisions based on the information provided at the point of sale how else am I supposed make decisions
    if the information I'm receiving is incorrect.

    I am an avid Microsoft fan dating all the way back to the original Xbox and Zune products( different gamer tag). Recently I have purchased a Surfave Pro 4 and several accessories. Please contact me to find amiable solution for all parties. Thank you so

    Should I return this Xbox?

    I think I would. Mine is a little over a year old and if it makes a noise, it's very subtle and not very noticeable. i would do it while it's still under the warranty.

    I assume you have gone into settings/display and experimented with different settings?

    I would recommend T.V connection set to hdmi rather than auto, Colour space to standard and colour depth to 24 bits.

    If the above is of no use to you, then yes, i would say get a new unit by either taking it back to the shop or setting up an advanced exchange with MS.

    Unfortunately, we do not receive any transaction information from physical retail stores, which is why we cannot Reward your purchase. It may be possible that the representative may have been thinking about Microsoft Rewards and not Xbox Live Rewards, as
    all our FAQ's and Terms and Conditions for our console upgrade offers explicitly reference the fact that we can only Reward purchases from MicrosoftStore.com. As we do not overlap with the Microsoft Rewards program, I do not know if they do or do not have
    their own particular offer that works in conjunction with retail stores. However, for our program, without your purchase data, we cannot award the Credits, since we do not have any purchase data to back up such a Reward. If possible, I would recommend returning
    the physical purchase and re-ordering from MicrosoftStore.com if you wish to participate in this offer. Again, we apologize for the confusion.
