There is no twos cents about it

If you don't remember enough info noone will hand the account over to you

Its upto you to keep your info upto date

accounts not used over a number of years are deleted. since the 360 days the Xbox accounts are fully merged with Microsoft accounts, they are now one. and now any that don't sign in for 5 years will be deleted too.

Xbox doesn't care about you having sentimental value and your account won't have it anyways. They released a alot of og names back in 2015 which ruined the peoples accounts who remained loyal to the company. Your Gt more than likely got wiped for someone else to use.

that would be a better reply when someone enquires about it rather than drop dead links and waste their time with a phone call. and how true is that? account hasnt logged in since 2013 at minimum. yet i can search and find it on my one x. regardless a clear cut knowledgable answer would have been nice from the start.

when i call directly there should be other information i can give to prove the account is mine. a written request form send microsoft the hard drive i created the account on the death certificate of the card holder who payed the gold subscrption. the husbands card holders written consent to access the profile. as if life has never happened to who ever commented that.
