So my Xbox is on and so is the tv but no show display what do I do?

Plz plz help me I tried turning my Xbox on and off same with my tv I tried the internet stuff and that did not work at all please plz please plz please plz please help me

Hello Amelia, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your console.

Please try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down. Then unplug it for 30 seconds. Then hold the Sync button (left side near the USB port on the original Xbox One and just below the power button on the S and X consoles) and the Eject button for the console then press the power button and hold until you hear a second start up noise.

If you are using the Xbox One All Digital console then you only need to hold the Sync button and then press the power button to reset.

You should now see a new screen. Scroll over to Restart/Reset and reset the console to factory settings. There is an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them.

Ah, so really even though I'm setting the refresh rate of the xbox to 120hz, it has nothing to do with the monitor display? I guess this is my problem (being the 165hz monitor) but I did test a tcl tv and it was showing up on there.

Hi, if you connect the xbox to the tv that is does show a display on, then go to settings/console settings/display and disable display discovery. Then connect the xbox to the tv you are getting no display on do you then get a display at all ?

I'm told the XBox ONE doesn't do 1080i.

So what might be happening is your TV is displaying at 720p but the ONE is upscalling the image?
