So my first need to Factory Reset

So I go to turn on the Xbox One this afternoon to catch some tv before work and it will not boot up. System will come on but the Kinect won't. I was getting a system startup error screen. I do some digging around on here and it says try a factory reset.
I reset the console to where I have to go through the initial setup again and it seems to have fixed it. I also noticed that it ask you if you want to delete your games and apps. I said no. I just need this console to last me long enough to get to the
end of August when I get my Xbox One S. Hopefully it will.

I would try Craigslist first if you aren't in a hurry. Make sure to factory reset.

Rule out the connections first, try a different lead

different tv

different power socket

remove any third party devices connected

reboot the x1

Maybe a factory reset ?? if all fails

Is it still under warranty? Mine usually breaks within a month of it running out lol. I got extended warranty which covers me til middle of February

 

It was an issue with the operating system. The system itself is fine. It is a day one edition so no the warranty is long gone. I did the option for the factory reset where you keep all your games and apps. Just need it to last until august until I get
my Xbox One S.

 

After that and resigning in with my profile all is good.

 

Never had to do a factory reset need to reboot once in awhile
