So, let's talk about Halo: Infinite.

Let us not beat around the bush, here. Halo: Infinite is widely anticipated with many fans crossing their fingers that this is a soft reboot and a return to Halo's roots. While I am a fan of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, Halo: Infinite looks like it is going
to return to the Halo games many of us grew up with. Not only is this a chance for some fans to reconnect to the Halo universe, 343i have done it in such a way that it doesn't break Halo's canon by reintroducing old tech into the games.

As humanity advanced in technology throughout the lore, they became independent on the AI which the majority of have now left in order to join Cortana. As the AI were a big part of technology, the armour, ships, vehicles, pretty much everything would be
hackable and rendered useless. Now, this would potentially explain why the Master Chief has reverted back to an older version of the MJOLNIR armour (it looks very similar to that of the armour seen in Halo: Forward Unto Dawn) so Cortana or any other AI would
have difficulty taking over the suits functions.
