So is Warframe going to damage Destiny

He said it was like that cos it is like that... go somewhere, kill/fetch something, return, rinse and repeat. It's nothing new and nothing we haven't seen a hundred times before in open world games.

Not to say it's a bad thing really, it's done extremely well, but the alpha/beta really only showed the "fetch quest" side of the game.

 

I wasn't saying its not like that I am saying at least destiny gives you choice to make it interesting, when IMO other games don't.

 

My first Destiny thread was called something like "I'm bored already"

I was more trying to work out if it cost more to buy Destiny or get Warframe free and buy stuff to rank up quicker?

You could potentially spend ALOT of money on WarFrame if you want to rank up quicker but I believe there's nothing in the game that you can buy with real cash that you can't earn through playing if your willing to put the time into it.

Just like on the PS4 version I've spent £3 to get some Platinum so I could get a Guardian at the start but that will be it for spending anymore so I've got one of the best games ( just my opinion of course ) that I've played in a long while for £3, can't
be bad and with the amount of content this game has I bet I'll be playing it a lot longer than most games I'll pay full RRP for, this year and beyond.

One thing to remember for anyone playing this, don't sell the Fusion Cores, fuse them to Cards you have equipped to either your warframe, weapons, guardians etc and see how much you power up which makes it a lot easier the more you get into the game because
it does get pretty tough before you know it.

As for Destiny, again it would be unfair to judge it on a beta but from what was shown it didn't "wow" me, got bored pretty quickly and in my honest opinion, especially with the hype surrounding the game, it didn't show me anything that has been done before
and done better, I hope the full game changes my mind.

 

People's enjoyment in games seems to be directly related to their success in them.

Perhaps if "Destiny" had an in store shop that would give you a competative edge then some of the people who aren't so keen would have liked it a bit more?

But hey, if we all liked the same things the world would be a pretty dull place.

I'll pass on the brand new 6th installments to franchises that have been done to death so much it's criminal though.

As for supporting "Free To Play... Pay to Win" trash like this... when you say 'Yes' to an App Store pricing model on a £400.00 console you're pretty much knifing other gamers in the back.

 

Like I said if you want to put the time in you don't need to spend a penny.

If people want to spend like crazy to have the best items/equipment from the start, I have no problem with that, their money but if others feel like their getting knifed in the back, well what do they say? hard cheese

I just hope we see more F2P games like this in the future, would save me a fortune in the long run

 

You don't half talk rubbish at times Az.

 

I could say people buying DLC within weeks, days or hours of a games release is slashing the wrists of folks like me who think £50 for a AAA should come with everything that's available and DLC should come at least 3 months later.

Better still have Rockstars GTA model and just give your fans expansions every now and then then next titles you release will pay you back ripple fold on release day for supporting those, supporting you.

Now having said that I would not spend a penny on Warframes In Game Purchases' as I have no bloody idea what that game is all about. But it's free so I'll play it, might get into it and keep playing but then again I'd rather (not) pay for shiny Halo 2A
but I will even though I have 3, 4 and CE and 3 was free with Games for Gold.

Exactly, people buy what they want to and are perfectly entitled to. All this "Knifing gamers in the back" sorry what a load of rubbish, but some love to get on their high horse and have a whinge.

Anyhow, even though I said I wouldn't I spent some more cash on this game today, my total spending on it now is £6, shock horror I know but totally worth it to me as this is one of the best games I've personally played in a long time and like I said earlier
in the thread, I hope we see more F2P games like this in the future, it will save me an absolute fortune!

 

Sorry but it's indefensible.

You may as well be trying to defend Online Passes or claim developers are hurt by 2nd hand sales or that the Earth is flat.

Everybody knows better. Some people just don't like being reminded.

 

Well thanks for reminding me this early on in the day Az but I shall be spending a little more £££ this morning.

As for it being indefensible, I could ask you about DLC etc you've purchased in the past but too early for all that so I'll just leave it there with, my money and I'm perfectly entitled to buy what I want, don't like it? not much I can do I'm afraid.

 

Game is really good fun to play, ran around with Lofty and Codger last night. I don't see any difference if I wanted to spend £40 on this game than spending £40 on Destiny. To be perfectly honest after playing this I almost wish Destiny wasn't coming
out for a while.

I haven't played the PS4 version in quite a while now, I do know the game has had a lot of updates, has the PS4 versions bosses been toned down a little with the difficulty, I ask because on the XB1 version, even though not easy they don't seem half as tough
as I remember or maybe my skills are just getting better and better
