So is Warframe going to damage Destiny

I was not really going to but Destiny and downloaded Warframe last night.

Whats the pro's and cons of using, buying, playing each of these two games?

How about Destiny is similar to Warframe seeing Warframe was released in Mar of 2013.

 

Chance To Crit vs Crit Hit Damage

Different game types off different solution, FPS's have 100% crit chance if you hit a certain area, destiny AI have a Crit Zone, which shows damage in yellow, warframe has a similar setup, but also allow you to have red crits as well.

 

Don't see it making any difference really.

 

WF is worth a look if you're wanting to fill a void till Destiny releases , I'm quite liking it so far but will probably not give it the time of day after Destiny . As for damaging sales , nah , can't see that happening to be honest .

 

I'd say the chances of "Warframe" damaging "Destiny" are about as likely as David Hasselhoff winning Wimbledon.

Even though I personally much prefer WarFrame over Destiny ( well from what Destiny showed me in the beta ) I can't see it affecting sales.

 

Fanboys will be fanboys and Destiny will sell by the lorry load, but by rights, Destiny should really fail due to its very lacklustre beta.

 

I'm surprised by how much Destiny divides opinions, I personally had no interest in the game at all but thought I would just try the beta out quickly to confirm my suspicions of it being another hyped fps, but honestly loved it.

Maybe it was because I did ignore it and not have any expectations but to me it was a fun shooter that played well and most importantly felt addictive. The pvp aspect was still pants though

 

The Beta was great.

What it the decent graphics, solid shooting mechanics, excellent controls or sheer huge amount of things to do that put you off?

 

The beta was average at best, Destiny certainly isn't the second coming!

Lest we not forget that it was a beta and the graphics were perfectly acceptable. What made it lacklustre, boring and underwhelming was the gameplay. Do this mission, complete it, go back to your spaceship. Do that mission, complete it, go back to your spaceship.
Go the tower. Do another mission. The game felt repetitive and disjointed see as there was no continuity within the gameplay - stop, start, stop, start. The guns left a lot to be desired too and the sparseness of the enemies annoyed me too. They were in the
same part of the map all the time and it was always the same enemies and same quantity to boot!

If you (Az) enjoyed it then great, I'm happy for you. I never. I have a budget. FIFA 15, MCC, CoD AW, Forza Horizon 2, Far Cry 4 and Borderlands PreSequel are my games of choice over the forthcoming weeks.

 

At the end of the day, just like any game, some will like it, some won't, never sure why some gamers on forums like Xbox.com seem to be puzzled because they like something, others should aswell. Like I always say, it's no different to me than someone saying
to me they prefer a cup of coffee why I prefer a good old cup of tea, we are all different.

Getting back to the Destiny beta, I'm will MA71LDA, I thought it was average at best, of course the full game could be totally different ( I doubt it ) but we shall see.

The gameplay felt boring, go to A, kill a few enemies, return to B, rinse and repeat, not saying it played badly but it's nothing we haven't seen before and no better than anything that's gone before it in my opinion.

My biggest disappointment though was there ( for me anyway ) was no incentive to explore, well no real rewards for doing so, sure the world was big, looked great but sort of boring at the same time.

Again, only a beta, in the days/weeks after release I might see some feedback to convince me to pick it up and I think another problem for me is I got caught up in the hype, we all know Bungie can produce fantastic games and maybe I was expecting ... "The
Next Big Thing" ... but the beta didn't do anything to convince me of this.

Looking forward to seeing the feedback from you folks starting next week though.

 

I'm with Mr Nally - Had no interest before the Beta, then played it and loved it!

 

Yep, it had me hooked by the end, I spent a whole Sunday avo pretty much just chilling on top of an wrecked aircraft hull, sitting down and occasionally sniping something in the distance. Waved to a few people who went by. It was strangely relaxing.

 

While I appreciate everyone has a different view, I can't understand why someone can say destiny is find A, kill enemies, goto be, kill some more, rinse and repeat, when you can choice how to get there, in what manner to get there, how to kill things, weather
you do it solo on in a group, how long you do it, exploring is an option, looting is an option etc etc

When campaigns like COD, BF, and wolfenstien, have even less options, in those games the weapons are dictated by the game, the route you take is so restrictive is like walking down 1 road, you get check points so you don't have to worry about dieing, the
AI is boring and repetitive.

I for one, am glad there are options.........
