So is metro redux a broken game

Well don't know if I just suck at the game or what but I got to a point in the game where I can't go any further into the game . The chapter is dead city every time I open the door I get thrown into a cutscene where the monster comes at me and I fight to
close the door but the monster over powers me and kills me I gotten on walkthrough on YouTube and seen that the door is already open for them I have reseted the chapter over multiple times but the door remains shut for me and I bought the game digital so I
can just take it to a store and yell at the cashier that this game is broken and I want my money back or give me a new one just don't know so if someone else is having the same problem has me ill feel a little bit better knowing I'm not alone on this problem

I got past it, think after the tap X went away, I melee'ed and got through.

lol, i'm not playing on the hardcore mode, forgot that it removes hints and everything else.
