SO Impressions?

No, I don't want to see you do impressions...

What I want is to hear your impressions on the game, Sunset Overdrive, once you've picked up and played it. This way, you can share your personal experiences of the game for those of you who don't yet have it.

It's simple really. Tell us about the graphics, gameplay, character customization, etc. If you feel there's a chance you might ruin something for someone in your personal review, please put a great big red

So this smartglass thing...

I tried smartglass on forza horizon, but it didn't disable sleep mode so it kept going off after a few minutes and I'd need to restart it. It was better after the update, at least it disabled sleep mode, but I stil found it easier to navigate by the on-screen map rather than the smartglass one.

If Forza 5 has smartglass connectivity, it won't be the same as the Horizon one as there is no world that you need to drive around. I'd love it if they allowed you to do the car paintshop via smartglass. That way I could while away the hours on that whilst watching telly or sitting in the garden

If they manage to bring something along the lines of Rockstar's social club to smartglass, that would be great.

 

So this smartglass thing...

They are releasing a dedicated app for BF4, but I haven't seen the platforms or a date announced yet and the current Battlelog app has never been released on Android. I tweeted the BF account to ask when and what platforms, but never got a reply.

The iOS version is a bit better than the Android version of the current Smartglass app, for example it integrates Halo 4 stats content that you can navigate when playing that game. I expect them to release a new version to coincide with the X1's release. We'll have to wait and see if Android is short changed again.

 

I dont understand the point of this thread today. You wont get any impressions until tomorrow. And UK people didnt get it early as it doesn't release there until Friday.

 

Are people actually excited to play this game? That is my only question. I've never played 'Infamous', but it looks like they tried to create a game that mimics that.

 

^^Im excited. In my opinion, while Infamous is a sight to see, the world is boring and offers very little to do. I dont get a boring vibe from Sunset.

 

I'm excited. It's a game that just looks fun like games should be.

 

He wrote this thread like he wrote what is your background thread. Colloquial? I thought you meant impressions on Xbox 1 so far.

Unfortunately Sunset isn't high on my to get list yet but respect those who want it. As for spoilers, if you put it in caps and red, it just makes it more attractive and more colourful it just shouts more attention and it can be kind of hard for me to keep
myself away from spoilers.

 

I posted this thread early for 2 reasons: 1) so I can be ahead of the curve before someone else does it, and 2) because some lucky people may have gotten it earlier than expected and can still post about their experience.
