So, I'm updating a game (already installed the game)

(Sorry if I'm annoying, surprisingly, I like the older version of the forum's better. Less complicated to me)

Because I'm downloading an update and started it around 5:00. It's now 9:30 and it's at 23%.

So it'll be a day and a half before I can actually play this game. So can I take the disc out and play something else while I'm waiting? Or am I stuck stairing at the games & apps screen?

(Yes. I know it's slow. No there's nothing I can do. No I Cannot just use a wired connection. Physically impossible. Not only because of where the console is located, but where the internet stuff is located as well. No. I don't have any control over what
type of internet service I use, you'd need to talk to the homeowner for that, and I wish you the best of luck pulling it off convincing her of anything.)

Update taking 2days!

The game was already installed it was updating. But I'll give that speedtest.net a go

Why does my Xbox one take so long to update a game?

I have an Xbox one and I just put a new game in it already installed the game and then it insisted on updating so I updated it around 4:30 and it's still updating it's taking ridiculously slow and is updating 1 mb/s.... It's only at 68%... Can I make it
go faster?

Please? Anyone know?

Because I'd really like to not have a paperweight for two days....
