So I'm thinking of buying a new Xbox series s.

the tv for xbox needs to be 4k to support hdr, raytracing will work but your image is gonna look pretty poor, you would be better getting a cheap used monitor about 27" and at least 1080p or another cheap tv. 120fps will not work, you need a proper high refresh monitor which supports console 120hz or a very expensive tv that supports high refresh.

series s cannot upscale to your tv, it would have to downscale as your tv does not have the ability to show more that 720p.

With regards to your concern and based on my experience playing on a 720p TV, the graphics is still good and smooth. Depending on the TV, the Xbox series s might be able to select up to 1440p to drastically improve its quality more.

So I ended up purchasing a new Xbox. I purchased a series S for the time being. I have sold the Series X, before selling the issue still persisted. After buying a new series S the problem no longer is an issue for me. I am still looking to buy a new series X in the near future in hopes of the problem to be resolved. No. The series X/S version of the game will only work on the Series X or S.

The only way that would work is if it's a code for the digital deluxe version of the game (which comes with both the series x/s and xbox one versions of the game)
