Through USPS microsoft told me to put my return adress and order number both inside and outside the box alright I got that but what's the order number exactly for and will usps ask why it's there or what

I hope so I have bad anxiety and stuff like this will worry me so much like,did I put the write adress is this a good enough box etc

Don't worry, I sent mine in a huge box that was unnecessarily big and had my service order number on it one 3 sides and my console came back fine in a new box they provided. It was just big enough to fit the console in.

I assume the reason why they ask you to put your order number on the outside of the box is to keep track of it while it's in the facility where they're repairing it.

The return address inside may be used if the box is damaged and it can't be read from the outside. That or they take the box away after receiving it and just keep the contents.

I wrote my adress the MC return center address and order number all on the same paper should I do each one separately or does that sound fine

I put mine inside on a paper on top of the console, with the return info and service number. No need to overthink this, that's fine.

So I'm going to send my controller back to MC
