You can try to reopen it but as mentioned if the account was inactive for a period of 2 years or more it can' t be recovered.

I was lucky and got a live.ca with just meh name muaahh said to see live.com to live.ca ex addresses gone it was so short.compared to outlook.com

I think my live.ca account is bugged I couldn't send to my brother in law either from my backup but oddly it works on some emails maybe my email account is restricted for some odd reason

I’m sorry it’s just absolutely ridiculous that there’s nothing ya’ll can do. I obviously am the person that has access to the account because I’m still signed into the Xbox on the account! The only reason that I don’t have access to the account is because I forgot my password. If I’m ever signed out of my Xbox for any reason and have to enter in my login information I will never get back in. Bye bye to all of my progress and my purchases for over 10 years. I sent in multiple surveys but they never get past your automated thing looking at the surveys. ITS NOT EVEN A REAL PERSON! This has been an issue for 3 months!!!! If anyone can please please please get in contact with someone in command that can actually do something instead of send me in circles. With no solution.

Thank you. I can try the authenticator but two step can not be used or I can't sign in to my 360. I used to have two step active and never had an issue but then after trying for over an hour to sign into my 360 I removed it to discover the tech is so old for the console that the newer methods of account protection didn't seem to work.
