So I was Unintentionally AFK for 10 Games in a row...

First of all, I'd like to apologize to my team mates if any even cared (even though we won half the games, some quit and I got less deaths). I was playing Halo: TMCC and was losing in a 1v4 and did not want to quit even though I was all alone because you're
not allowed to quit. So I decided to go idle and go up to the shops and let the game kick me afterwards, because that's what its supposed to do. Here's the catch: when it feels like it, not when it should. Read on to find out.

When I came home an hour later, I noticed I was in a match. According to my Waypoint game history I was idle for 10 games in a row. I don't understand, they said on Waypoint that you would be kicked after a certain amount of time of being idle! What the
hell?! I swear if I get banned now... I tried to avoid being in trouble from quitting just to get into trouble about being idle, unintentionally, as the game's anti-idle system failed.

Actually this is funny. After matches, it kicks me sometimes saying I was idle before I need to search for another game even though I'm actively playing, NOW I was actually idle and nothing happened. What?! Well I guess 343i and MS can use this data and
fix this since the system is clearly broken. You're welcome. Thankfully, nothing has happened. But now after proving the system is broken, this is quite worrying.

TLDR: The Halo: TMCC idle kick feature is broken. You can idle 10 games in a row and not be kicked whereas after matches you can be kicked for no reason or being idle even though you were playing.

Random Banning

U went AFK 2 games in a row earlier... while getting banned for just 2 AFK games seems a bit extream... You were playing wit 7 other people so u did affect their game... And you probably have a history of going AFK to be banned.

 

Well theres a first time 4 everything!!

There are some games that there should be no reason why you have gone AFK, it annoys me to no end on Destiny when you drop into a strike and someone is AFK the whole strike. The game doesn't kick them either, it seems like in so many other game modes you'll
be kicked way faster than in strikes.

It's worse when you've done a strike with them and they were active like 30 - 60 seconds ago and then AFK for 10 - 15 minutes, it really does not take long to just back out of the game...

I don't think this will get you banned and even if there should be a suspension, you still can provide evidence that it was the games fault and not yours, as described here.

 

I've actually seen this happen as well. As Julian mentioned. Probably would be a good idea to submit some feedback on the issue.

 

Guys, sadly this wasn't the insider. This happens in the actual RETAIL game. The only place to give feedback is on the Waypoint forums but, like thousands of other people, I too was banned until 2552
a while back during the uproar era when we were expressing our disgust about the state of the franchise.

So many bugs found by players like myself who 'no life' Halo and know every detail of the game and what should be fixed cannot even get 343i to address such issues because of that. A day has gone by and I'm still playing the game like normal so hopefully
nothing happened. I think they should use another platform for bug reporting.

Back in the day, posts about bugs or as most people like to use the phrase: 'broken', would reward you a suspension for spam, non-constructive posts or a few other odd reasons. Some people would jump in the thread and call you out for bashing the game or
denying the bugs existed and then a moderator would jump in, lock your thread and ban you just for posting about a bug. The joint is a total wreck.

TLDR: Are there any other ways to notify 343i of game breaking issues? Without going through the hassle of 'community engineers', 'moderators' and trolls from disrupting the reporting process? This is the problem, when you make a post about
a bug a troll will attempt to start an argument and deny the bug exists and claim you're just trying to make the game look bad or something along the lines of that. The thread will fall apart with arguments, a moderator will step in lock the thread and ban
either everyone within that thread or as usual, just the OP for no real justification and then the bugs you report go unread by PROPER people and nothing ever gets addressed nor fixed as a result.

There needs to be a more official place to report bugs directly to 343i without the Waypoint riff-raff derailing the process.

You would need to go through reporting processed Julian noted/report it through the

forums since only the 343 can do anything to fix the bugs.

 

As I said, I have to wait until 2552 to post there.

I could easily make another account and use another IP but the moderators would have a melt down and remove the thread without letting 343i see it because that's just what they do. I want nothing to do with those inappropriate and unprofessional individuals.
