So i need help cancelling and getting a refund with Xbox game pass subscription, please

Which Game Pass did you get? You would need to cancel and get a refund, then get the correct one.

I just want to clarify, were you able to see an option for a refund upon cancelling your Xbox game pass subscription?

According to the official Xbox website, you may be eligible to cancel your recurring subscription and request a refund, but not all subscription purchases are eligible for a refund. If you qualify for a refund, you will see the option to cancel immediately and request a refund when reviewing your subscription status.

Note: Refund requests that are outside of the cancellation processes above are not eligible for a refund.

If I understood correctly, you have an active subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that you'd like to cancel so you can subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.

Would that be correct?
If that's the case, please refer to the following instructions:

• Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
• Select "Manage" next to the subscription you want to cancel.
• Select "Cancel subscription" or "Turn off recurring billing".

* If you choose "Cancel subscription" and you’re eligible for a refund, you’ll be provided with two options: "Don’t charge me on (next renewal date)" and "Cancel immediately and get a refund".

* If you choose "Cancel subscription" but you don’t qualify for a refund, you’ll be prompted to "Turn off recurring billing" and won’t see a refund option. Turning off recurring billing will prevent the next charge.

Once your subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate expires, you will be able to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.

As you can tell, there is no need to close your current account, you just need to wait for your subscription to expire.

Additionally, please rest assured that switching subscriptions will not delete your account's game progress.
