So I just got my Xbox One.....

I wouldn't buy Ryse. It's too short. It's about 5 hours. Save your money and rent it. If you're not bored to tears after a few hours then look to buy it. It does have a good story though and it looks decent.

 

Fair point, if only it was on sale for cheaper than where it currently is.

 

Plants vs zombies is like titanfall...it has no single player offline either. It does have a single player mode but u still have to be online.

 

^^ Both games are incredibly fun though.

 

Brandie is wrong about "Ryse" being too short.

If you love dismembering barbarians then you'll more than triple the 5 hours Brandie thinks it should take you thanks to replays, your expanding executionset and the arena.

However he's on to something when he recommends you try it out to see if you enjoy it.

If you find dismembering your enemies is not your thing there's always "Child Of Light".

 

Ryse is ok for a couple of hours

DR3 on the other hand doesn't look as good but it's a fine game, I actually recomend this to RPG fans though I don't think it's sold as one.

 

Funny thing you mention brandi being wrong about Ryse campaign length and then try to slight Child of Light. Child of Light is easily double the length of Ryse. But then again every thing Az says is fictional anyway. Just like Defiance is free to play and
Killer Instinct isnt.

 

Ryse has no replay value what so ever. The combat is fun, but it's too repetitive for most people to feel like going beyond a single play through. So basically you're going to get about 5 hours out of it and that's it.

 

Ryse and Wolfenstein!

Both my top two next gen games so far!

Ryse isn't too long but has a pretty fun multiplayer mode, and is definitely still the best looking game out so far graphic wise.

Wolfenstein is fairly long, good story fun old school FPS gameplay and is good for multiple playthoughs.

I'll also agree that Wolfenstein is really good.

 

I just have to defend Ryse a little bit here, I've put a lot of hours into that game, but I'm the type of person who never tires of bloody violence like that. You can see the bone when you chop someone's arm off! I always look for that in games and get disappointed.

Also I just love Roman history and although not historically accurate, still fun to put yourself in the shoes of a solider back then.

I will agree it might not be as good value for money as Dead Rising 3, but don't write it off!

 

theres dead rising, sniper elite, forza is pretty fun, i just picked it up, then there is thief wich... could have been better.
