    So, I have a major problem and nothing works


    My xbox keeps scrolling down as soon as it is turned on. I have tried a hard reset, removed the batteries from all of the controllers before turning it back on. I know that it is not a controller issue as I have
    tried 4 different ones. I can't get to any of the settings because it goes straight to the bottom of everything and you are hard pressed to even get it to register when you hit the buttons. So I then saw some people had fixed it by doing a factory reset, yet
    that hasn’t worked at all... I can’t select anything, can’t play certain games, and wasted so much time on fixing this my head hurts

    Did you try the factory reset as suggested though? Not a hard reset.

    Hey there Majin,

    Thank you for that quick response, in certain occasions when all other troubleshooting is failing then we would resort to a full factory reset removing everything from the console. This helps remove any corrupted data on the console
    that may be causing problems.

    If you have not yet attempted to remove everything follow the link below for steps on how to properly

    If this has not resolved the problem then as mentioned a repair would be our last option after a factory reset, as you have mentioned the Original Xbox One is no longer valid for repairs so we would be looking into a new console at
    this point. I apologize for this inconvenience.

    Hey there Majin,

    Thank you for reaching out to us on the forums in regards to this issue. If you have already attempted everything including a factory reset then our final option would be to set up a repair for the console. You can always go through the

    Device Support website     so that you may register the console to check on the warranty details and set up a repair order.

    So apparently my xbox can’t be serviced because this version of the xbox one has been discontinued, meaning the only option is buy a new xbox one while on social assistance, so there is no solution
