So empty feeling. Where is everyone?

I'm a long time fan of the series and when I heard Dark Souls was gonna be free to download, I was ecstatic. I downloaded the game with no problem, started it up and chose my favorite class (thief) and started playing for the first time in almost 8 months.
I made it to the Undead Parish when I noticed something. There are no other players! No ghostly images of other players passing me by, no messages on the ground, no blood splatter signifying an unfortunate soul who met their demise! I even hung around waiting
for someone to invade me, but nothing! I'm online and there isn't anything wrong with my connection so I'm not sure whats going on with that. has anyone else had issues with this?

it hasn't really satisfied since buying it but then again Xbox one as a whole hasn't lived up to its self promoted hype and neither have the games.

Titan fall is undeserving of the supposed 75 awards it was nominated for.

Thief was mediocre disappointing from Square enix when you compare it previous games they've made like Deus ex.

Ryse graphically looked brilliant and story was great but the game play was a let down.

Battlefield 4 which i still prefer to titan fall hasn't really changed its more or less the same as battlefield 3 just refined .

assassins creed improved in some ways the most obvious being how they expanded on the sailing,

piracy but never made any improvements on the rest of the game play.

the only that i have been satisfied with was dead rising 3 but there are still better zombie slasher games out if your into that kind of thing try state of decay on xbox arcade, graphics are definitely not on the same level but i prefer the game play also
if you play PC games try Day Z =D

i have to agree, i played solo and with friends still no thrill, we had 11 guys online on Saturday playing ghost and it was a blast, we play hc. tf is a core players wet dream, fast pace , loads of action. as for tactical game play i dont feel it. tf
isnt my cup of tea

 

is been a few weeks since i played but everything was fine then!

 

Odd. Does the online population depend on region or is it worldwide?

 

Game is stuck in 1.0 so you are only seeing GwG people

Alright thanks for that. So the best course of action is to just wait until the issue is resolved and until then I'll play Monster Hunter or just level up in prep for PvP.

 

This is a problem now even for the patched version. I have been playing Dark Souls,on disc, for the past several months, and in 2 days it has gone from flourishing to ghost town.

 

I'm glad to see this was only a support issue. I'll be happy when i start running into people again. I guess I can just keep progressing through the game for now.
