So done with xbox already

So I had the new dashboard and everything and downloaded halo 5 which did not work and had to re down load the whole game. So I thought it was because the new dashboard. So I decided to quit the new program which takes a couple days. But the next day halo
5 started up and was playing. Now it kicks me out and updates the xbox to the old dashboard and erases everyrhing!!! I have now downloaded halo 5 3 TIMES!!! So beyond *** right now.

So is Halo The MCC Done?

There are a few users here who claim to work in the gaming industry, so they could probably answer this better than those of us who don't. Although, I would guess that this game is in the final testing stages. It's almost September and the MCC launches in November. If it wasn't in the final stages by now, I'd guess that it would be getting delayed.

Don't take my word on that, I'm really just guessing.

 

So is Halo The MCC Done?

The actual game may be done, but they're still working on QA testing, and fixing little problems no doubt. Normally when a developer says they've gone gold, it's for the most part done, to the point where they are 100% confident the game won't be delayed, but even after that there's still a lot of work to be done.

 

This is why I don't knowingly beta test. I am thankful for those that do (and who are active and interested in fixing problems, not joining up just to get bc).

So you are complaining about bugs in a beta test program where you signed up to test for bugs.....that makes a ton of sense

 

You are a beta tester , were you not aware that it could cause issuse maybe even brick your console? I guess you can just use this as a lessen about future beta testing OS on any device. Halo is a blast to play, I hope you get it sorted out.

Exactly.I swear half the people who sign up for betas don't bother reading the warnings & just sign up thinking they're getting something new & working 100% before anyone else.

It warns you what will happen if you want to remove the preview dash.

 

Their was a place holder bug with early preorders of Halo 5 ...... MS announced prior to launch that some users would need to download the game again.

The preview program is a Beta, you may experience issues while a member of the program. I'm in the Beta and thankfully have never had any problems yet. Good luck.

 

Testing takes risks.. sorry to hear about your problems. I do hope you get everything back to normal soon, so you can go on enjoying your games.

 

This was one of the main reasons I opted out of the preview program. It's basically rolling the dice.

LOL No one here is going to feel bad for you.

It says right in there what happens if you back out. Buy a external hard drive for games and read the terms of the preview program.

I think if you opted out and days later had to update to same problematic dash that you should be allowed to vent without being critized for it.

That being said. Lets hope this time is the last time having to DL Halo 5 in order to enjoy the game without hiccups.
