So cod will be made by 3 developers now!

So cod is slipping more and more into fantasy land with futuristic cod games and turning more and more away from being what it used to be! A simple fps with a basic story mode. We have gone from WW2 style cods with no prestige to post appocolyptic cods
where we get care packages to nuke the place. After playing 9 cod games I can say I wish we could go back to the old days of just playing for the fun of it in cod 2 and 3! No prestige, no custom classes, no killstreak rewards. Just WW2 maps and having fun
with some friends. And if I wanted to play in a ranked match then it was just me vs a bunch of random people. I can't even play game modes other than ffa without having to go up against a bunch of well practiced clan members. In cod 3 you didn't have to
worry about that because ranked matchmaking was random. I have been hearing one thing that I find to be a step in the right direction and that is the thought of finally selling zombies as a stand alone! Maybe with that being done get cod back to a game about
something real not a made up sci fi fps.

@LOW - Because the leaderboards per game are managed by the developers not Microsoft. I personally love the gamerscore system. It shows I'm better than you. Now you can be mad.

 

Call of Duty extending their release schedule, should other yearly series do the same

The 3-year COD is true.... for an individual developer. You probably didn't hear but COD will still get yearly releases, but from different developers. This year's developer will be Sledgehammer. Their last development was Modern Warfare 3. So technically, they're still doing yearly series but we're getting a different flavor.

 

Now devs will have two full years to make a game instead of one every other year. Does that mean CoD will be "twice" as good now?

 

I just wish for a trip back to pre-cod 4 where the game was more basic and I enjoyed playing cause it was based on somewhat real events. Cod after black ops turned into a zombie filled, sci-fi waste land where nothing makes sense. Since we will have 3
devs, One should make make believe zombie games, while another can make futuristic cods and the other should stick with a more realistic cod that is based on combat events that have already come to past.

nah we need another cod 4 ..3, 5 and 7 killstreaks, its nice to earn simple stuff like that, they have been destroying cod and mw2 is where it all started and thats when they aimed it more towards kids but kids get bored easily and as soon as something else
comes along (titanfall) they jump ship, and look who are left..the dedicated grown ups who have been playing it since cod 3 or 4, maybe it will teach iw a lesson, stand by your true fanbase because the kids will dessert you in the long run...and for the luv
of god nerf the kiddy quick scopers!!!
