So are they going to fix those elite 2 controllers or not?

Im having tons of issues with my elite 2 as well. X button sometimes works and sometimes does not, the left analog stick hardly clicks and i cannot run in any game, and my headphone jack is all messed up.. on top of all the issue it is nearly impossible
to get ahold of microsoft. Its ridiculous

Exceptionally disappointed with the Elite Controller II. I have gone through several first gen Elite controllers, and had to replace broken shoulder buttons countless times.
The rubber grips fell off. The hair trigger stop broke.
But by in large I liked the form factor of the controller and was willing (stupidly) to give the Elite II a try hoping that all these issues (which MSFT should well have known about as the internet is rife with reports of all this) had been resolved.

Upon receipt, I felt like like the quality was going to be better (except the shoulder buttons felt remarkably similar).
But sadly, within 30 days, the right shoulder button stopped responding – it would click, but not register a press unless you really mashed the button-not the typical broken cross member but something with the microswitch.
Then the top left paddle input started exhibiting the same.

I painfully opened a ticket with support

- No live person to talk to

- Nothing in the process would recognize the serial number

- I couldn’t even login to Microsoft’s own site with Microsoft Edge browser but had to resort to Chrome.

- Then waited 10+ days for the shipping turn around time.

Then the replacement controller sent:

- Left controller stick malfunctions – inconsistent input recognition and occasionally refused to snap back to center but rather slowly drifted back (as input – the stick was back
to center but it kept registering more inputs)

- Right and left triggers felt completely different resistance

So time to open a new ticket

- Well, even though I had since upgraded Edge to Chromium Edge, I still couldn’t login to Microsofts own site.
Had to use Firefox

- Going to My Devices then open a ticket= the only subsequent options were to order replacement parts (which I didn’t need)

- Nope, still can’t talk to a person so back to the bot – which didn’t recognize the serial number again.

- Gave up on that whole process and decided to click the “book appointment at
local store” But guess what ? That didn’t work either but came back with an error “Sorry, we’re unable to process you request right now. Please try again later.”

Last MSFT controller I'll ever buy and certainly recommend a) never buying one and b) if you did, and have any issues, keep sending it back for a replacement. The replacement ones reset the warranty a bit as of the replacement
date.

Has yours not disconnected at all? I was really starting to think it was every single controller! Playing Cod is the worst game to play when it comes to disconnecting for me and is the worst game to disconnect playing!

Could you give me a link to the 2 month old statement, please?

As for your disconnect issues: Either I'm a lucky one and got a working controller, or you are in an environment with a lot of interference.

Try connecting the controller to the console with the provided USB cable. If the disconnects still happen, the controller is broken.

If it doesn't disconnect, try wireless again, but try to sit closer to the console just for testing purposes.

When you are closer to the console, do the disconnects still happen?
