    So I purchased Watch Dogs Legion. I played it for a bit before noticing that the game has many bugs. I looked more into it, and apparently there is a bug that can delete your save file. Due to these bugs (one of which is game breaking), I figured I would
    request a refund. I opened a request, and it was denied saying that they don't issue refunds on games that have been launched. I replied back further mentioning the bugs I have experienced, but they sent back a very similar reply and closed my case. This is
    very frustrating, as I have read that they did a policy that allowed for refunds if the game hadn't been played much and it was within a two week window after purchasing it (I assume this has been changed). In the eight years I have had my Xbox Live account
    I have not asked for a refund once, and the one time I did, I got a generic response and was told that refunds weren't issued. I've done more research into the refund policy since getting denied only to find that several people have mentioned that they have
    gotten refunds after launching the game. Overall, this is very frustrating. I don't think I will purchase another full-priced digital game off of the Microsoft Store unless a physical copy is not available for this reason (I usually buy physical, but due to
    Covid I buy most of my games digitally now).

    Now to my question. Has the policy changed? Refunds used to be issued if you had around two hours played and had the game for two weeks or less.

    You should check the time played on the game in the dashboard.

    One thing to remember is thst many live service games like WD will keep the clock going if youre in instant on. Microsoft has no way of telling if you’re playing or not, just what the game reports back.

    Allegedly the patch for the Series X save bug may be coming this week

    No, there's no refunds for digital purchases. Both Microsoft & Sony needs to start refunding people's money for digital purchases who don't want their games anymore.
