    is there anything i can do or try to get this to work, i've messed around a lot trying to fix this, redownloaded game, reupdated computer and went through the help suggested tips

    In the Minecraft launcher make sure you're under Java edition and select installations. If you're trying to select a mod to launch from then select that and click on the three dots (ellipsis) on the right then click edit then scroll down and click "more options" on the bottom.

    Please go to the Minecraft website and download the Windows 7/8 launcher. Try playing the game using it. The Windows 10 launcher is giving this error for some users.

    Make sure you sign in with the correct Microsoft Account used for the Migration.

    Also, uninstall the current Windows 10/11 launcher before installing the Windows 7/8 launcher.

    I get error code 0x803F8001.

    I did contact support already and they told me to update and get something that I think was called windows media. I am on windows and I'm trying to play Minecraft java edition. I get this error when I open the Minecraft launcher it gives me that error.
