    So, About Elder Scrolls Online....

That's quite a bit of stuff to get through in one session. Good job! I can only play the game a couple hours at a time max, sitting in front of a PC is not normally how I game.

I happened upon a group of peeps dealing with an Anchor and somehow managed to get in enough whacks to get credit for the quest. I just ran around the perimeter using arrows and siphoning to damage/kill the bad guys. I was healed once or twice so I survived
    the melee.

My trouble is with the guys in the Veiled Queens Keep. I get to the last room with the three guys and they all rush me at once, I can pick off the first two but their commander is one tough cookie. He's killed me about 15 times and cost me 5-600 gold in
repairs so far. Finally I left and went out to kill as many bad guys as I can with a bow and do some more quests before I go back in there. I was mid level nine, now I'm almost 12 and spent two points on health as I leveled so I'm going in there and see how
I do tonight. It seems you can't quest with someone to help you in that dungeon. I never see anyone else in there.

  2. I was quite alone for a lot of the time this afternoon. I went back into the last portal which was rage. It's filled with flame atronachs. I died again but after that I figured out how to get through them all by sneaking and zapping one at a time with a
frost staff. Just as I got to the end some Khajit ran through me and helped with the last atronach in the way. I didn't nearly get all of them available but still, I was finished, he could have helped sooner. Then I did a bit of Mathiieson on the way back
to Vulkhel Guard. My inventory was full. I messed around with that but it is really hard when the inventory is full. You can't refine because you need an empty slot so then you try the bank but it's near full so you sell a few things to make room and I just
got tired of the merry go round. I think I like the unlimiited storage of a single player game better. I don't have that much gold and don't want to waste it on storage. I mean really, 1,000 gold for 10 slots in the bank? For a low level player that's too
    much.

I couldn't agree more. I don't like spending time in game not adventuring. Going to a damn bank is annoying enough in real life. We probably all play games to escape reality in some fashion or magnitude, banking is one bit of reality I can do without, unless
I'm getting a loan for a new bike...lol. My inventory is usually full, and the bank is getting there, however I'm not spending nearly a quarter of my gold for ten measly slots.

I finished Mathiieson few days back, and last night was able to finally beat down the Veiled Queens final three henchmen in the Veiled Keep. Still some lower level quests I have not finished yet I'm finding like running the Heritance soldiers and pyro's
out of that burning town whose name I can't recall, nor spell probably. I finished that up last night, pretty easy when the bad guys are all level six and you are 11...lol. Plus I need no more incentive than rescuing Marines to make the bad guys dead... So, About Elder Scrolls Online.... ;)

BTW a question... How do I get the quest for Del's Claim again? I went in there after someone whispered me there was a skyshard in there. All the bad guys are 7's I think. I could mop the floor with them, and did so with any that got in my way. I did see
a book with a quest marker but stayed away from it since I had no business being in Del's other than the skyshard.

We should roll together sometime on Auridon LadyB, my daughter has taken over my Breton mage and I her Bosmer, it seems we each created a character the other likes better, definitely dad's girl. So, About Elder Scrolls Online.... :)

My (her) archer Nightblade babe is pretty good with a bow, can siphon and assassinate pretty well too, not much for healing though, other than siphoning bad guys to reclaim some health, about to pop level 12. Peace

Del's Claim is a precursor. I went in there by accident at about the right level. You just work your way to the back to pick up the journal and get the Skyshard on the way It points to Mathiison and I didn't do it since I was still too low to be heading
out that way. The only thing that booted me out of the first city and it's immediate surroundings was that the level 3 nightblade I created just to gather and hold resources went walkabout and survived okay so I pushed the mage out of the nest. She's still
just level 8. I didn't do Mathiison beyond finding the dead lady and talking to Raz since I needed to go back to town to dump stuff. Does Mathiison have any services?

I got a nice resto staff for finishing the first part of Tanziwill so my next targets are Ondil and the Queen at Tanziwill then on to Matiison. There is a skyshard in Tanziwill and one in Ondil. I just used a map I found of Auridon that has all the locations
marked including skyshards, lorebooks and treasure chests. I haven't looked for the extra treasure chest from the explorer pack yet and have never seen a treasure map otherwise.

I haven't taken the time to pick through the chat box so wouldn't know if someone was whispering to me or not. lol It's not that easy to read and I find myself being chewed on if I stop too long to do menu things. I don't see how anyone survives in autorun.

All the ladies of the house will be out shopping and I'm on my own for a few hours... whatever will I do? oh right ESO! lol. I will take a peek at Mathiison for you when I get home tonight, as I don't recall of the top of my head what opens up for the player
once the bad guys are run off. I bugged out as soon as the town was back to normal. Stay tuned.

I must've read the journal in Del's Claim then or I wouldn't have gotten to Mathiison? Or maybe Raz sent me there? I will just go back into Del's and read that journal then and see what happens, probably nothing since I've finished Mathiison. When I hover
over Del's Claim in my map it doesn't tell me if I did anything in there, falling back to short term memory never works out well for me in games where there are nine million places to go, and it's still relatively new. I really should take notes like you and
    my daughter.

Generally it's safe to chat in a city and not be savaged, having said that I rarely do it unless I have a question. Then I watch the window for the answer, which always comes. Most people are friendly and helpful, but there is the occasional ja ck a ss which
is when I let it fade out. If you get whispered it will get your attention though.

I still have to do Ondil also....

Mathiison has but a merchant weapon-smith LadyB, in case you hadn't gotten back there yet.

  7. Ah, that explains it. The forge was locked since I presume because I hadn't progressed in that quest. Yesterday afternoon I was running around with my Bosmer and realized that dropping characters into the correct instances must be really complex. She was
level 8 but had never started the first quest to save the queen so the Captain was always at the head of the stairs and the queen inside the manor. But I realized as I completed it that the queen isn't standing around all the time once that quest is finished
though she clearly is for others. The quest itself is solo but the outside is full of players doing their thing. It makes my head spin trying to figure out how much of what I see is just for me.

Right now, I only play during the day when ever my cat will let me have the chair. He is old and has taken to sleeping in the computer chair. I got Diablo for the Xbox and was playing it last night.

Del's Claim was confusing for me as well. You read a book which triggers a you have discovered the place. It's right next to a book that puts Ondil on the map so I suppose it is in the Mages Guild. When you get to Del's Claim nothing really happens except
there is a glowy book to read at the end which pops a you should go to Mathiison notice. It isn't in the journal though that I remember. I met Raz on the edge of town who started that whole quest. If you ignore him for too long Paz will find you. It may be
that the Del's Claim side quest won't show up on the map until you have cleared that part of the main quest. I find sometimes NPCs aren't around until a major even has transpired and I found Mathiison to be closed and pretty empty when I went through there.

There is an awful lot going on at any one time, that's for sure. I've gotten pretty good at guessing where people are going when they seemingly are running around willy-nilly. I try to tag along for some of the tougher dungeon crawls, most seem pretty cool
about it. Glad to have assistance when I drop some bad guys with my bow. I can't count the number of times I've been hit with some kind souls healing spells, which, when they occur after battle, I assume in some cases it's a "thank you". I wish there was a
quick way to make a gesture to people who are kind like that. Like waving at passing motorcycle riders when out on mine.

And that begs the question, is the spell actually helping me, and if so... why don't their fire spells make me crispy?

I went back to Del's and read the dead kids journal, went back to Mathiison and told his poor momma. I had already liberated the town, so this completed the quest. I've said this before, it's a game but that hits home for me. Did that in real life a couple
times, it's just awful duty. Mothers are a special breed. It's far more difficult to be a Marine mother, than the actual Marine. The look in that cartoon Altmer's eyes was spot on. So, About Elder Scrolls Online.... :(

Speaking of difficult, The hardest slog for me yet in terms of fighting... when you get to the Veiled Heritance' island you will see a lot of peeps wearing the same disguise, whether male or female, and ugly at that. You'll know exactly what they are doing
and where they are going because they all look like you! lol.

However they can't assist you, or you them, once inside the Keep. In final room, be ready to kill three named 11 ranks, the last of which is armored up hard. You will have to fight through more than a few soldiers to even get to that final room, all on your
own. And they won't hesitate to gang up on you. I had to fight at least two every time, and they like to flank you. Area effect spells will be your mage's friend here.

I think on my next play I will stay out of fights whenever possible and just hunt the remaining skyshards in Auridon. I have all of them from Kenarthi's Roost. I received some nice mage gear in another quest, I'll put in the bank for my daughter.

I'm really liking Queen Ayrenn, much nicer than those snooty Thalmor in Skyrim that I like to use for target practice.

  10. I much prefer fighting for the Queen. Of course I liked playing Altmer even in Skyrim but I had no trouble kicking Thalmor backside. Player's can't hurt players which is a real blessing in some of the wildness that goes down around an anchor. I've learned
to participate while staying alive long enough to be able to get credit for the completion and share in the chest. They are all still slightly above my level though so I'm not a lot of use.

My cousin's eldest son went into the marine's just before the first Gulf War. I always worried for her more than her son. It was an unexpected decision on his part since they were not really a military family beyond WWII era.

That was a scary time. We all heard about Saddam's massive army waiting for us. Marines being the tip of the spear expected heavy casualties, but we were chomping at the bit to get in there. Once we got in there and saw that the Air Force had blown them
all to hell, it was somewhat of a relief, but you never let your guard down and mothers never do either.

I do like the characters in ESO, there's something about Quenn Ayrenn.... that Veiled Queen better run because I'm coming for her! haha.

    So, About Elder Scrolls Online....

You know that old Nord will come out sooner or later. I love the level and attention to detail. That price though.... whew! My brother builds scale model aircraft, as a side job. He does quite a bit of refinement to off the shelf kits. He has a B-17G in
1/32 scale... huge! Kit alone was $300, plus all his time and effort. He turned down a $1000.00 for it, mostly because he customized it to be the plane my dad flew in WWII. Big money in this stuff.

That undead Breton looks creepy, yet amazing. A little steep for me but I love it. It's probably a marketing ploy to release a lesser anticipated figure first, get people jonesed and talking about the three main figures in the game artwork, boost the price
a little more when they come out.

I took down the Veiled Queen last night, you get some help from three pretty decent NPC's, one I know you've met. Another player came in during the fight also, and I still died once. She's a tough cookie, at level 15, and summons aide of her own. There's
another anchor up there nearby Firsthold and I made the mistake of trying to stop the summoning ritual, just for fun, I got stomped... quickly. Didn't even kill one of those worm priests. lol.

  14. I've been holding back on the main quest until I was the suggested level because I never do well without help if I'm not at least there. I have dived into a couple of Dolmens if there is someone else fighting too.

Your dad was a pilot? In Europe or the Pacific? My dad was in the Air Force in the Pacific but was a mechanic. In fact he stayed in the Air National Guard afterwards. I don't blame your brother for wanting to keep something so special that he spent that
much time on. I hope he has someone to pass it on to.

  15. I have got to get me a horse! I finished up Tanzelwill and there I was halfway across the island with a full inventory. There was nothing to do but run back to town because I haven't opened Mathiisen yet. I need a horse, I just hate to spend real money on
one. I suppose that when we transfer to the console things like our pets and horses will go with the account.

Have you named your pets? I decided they needed names so my monkey travels with the Sorceress and is named Izzy and the Scutler travels with the Nightblade and is called Reggy. I don't have a crab and the sorceress doesn't have any conjured help. If I buy
the Palomino his name is FishyStick so that will have to be changed. Maybe Trigger?
