Sniper Elite 3 - new details and trailer

Is it as poor as the last 2, or did they learn their lesson?

 

^I never played the first one so i cant comment on that but I certainly wouldn't describe the 2nd one as poor, Played a load of survival last night with a mate and did the first campaign mission in solo and so far I'm loving it, same game play as #2 but
in a more open setting. Like I say early days yet but easily worth the £38 I paid for it.

 

I really enjoyed 2. Looking forward to playing 3. What didn't you like about 2 Ibakez?

 

It's a good lil game, still waiting for it to install so I get to play a level wait a bit and then play the next lol

 

I'm on to the 3rd level now, great game, the further you get through the more the levels open up a bit giving you different options on how to approach. The optional objectives give you more to aim for on top of the main mission.

I'm playing on the second difficulty level and finding it quite tricky to fully stealth levels still, so there is definitely a challenge for more skilled players out there.

Certainly one of the better games out for the Xone at the moment.

 

Fun game.

It's like "Hit Man" with "Fallout" VATs for your kills.

 

You sure it's got a "vats" mechanic? The second one didn't, just the slo mo kill cam?

Love this game, just had a go of survival on solo, great fun.

 

Cheers Mark that's what I thought, vats would be a bit pointless. Haven't picked up a copy yet, but looking forward to playing it .

Technically VATs is different from a Slow Mo Kill Cam because it allowed you to target specific bodyparts.

"Sniper Elite III" features Slow Mo Kill Cams. You can target specific body parts and organs but you have to do this yourself.

Important distinction. Sorry about that.

 

And don't forget that VATs actually paused the action while you took your time to select a target. In VATS mode you could wander off and make tea before taking the shot. No action pause in Sniper Elite. Been watching some game clips made by forum folk
and it looks great.

 

This game is awesome. Challenging but very good. I like how easy it is to get to safety but the game is very unforgiving on the hardest difficulty.
