Sniper Elite 3 Multiplayer Issue - Possible Fix

So if you are still having issues connecting to a multiplayer match - even after installing the patch that was released a few days ago - I have something you can try that seemed to work for me.

Even after I had installed the patch, I was still getting the "Connected to Xbox Live" icon, versus the "Searching for a match" icon. Frustrating, I know. So here's what I did, and since I've done this - it's been smooth sailing.

1. Press and hold the On/Off logo on the face of your xb1 until it powers down - approximately 5 seconds. This acts as a hard power-down and supposedly clears the cache.

2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your xb1.

3. Unplug the power cord from the power brick. This is important - the little amber colored light will remain lit for about 3-5 minutes, indicating that the brick still has some juice left in it. Wait until the light is no longer on. Xbox customer support
had me do this for a different issue and had said that this basically removes all power to the console, thus when restarting, it's basically like starting up from day 1, but without dumping any important saved information.

4. Plug everything back in, starting with the power cord to the brick, followed by the power cord to the back of the xb1.

5. Re-start the console using the button on the face of the xb1, sign in etc... And give it a shot.

Since I've done this, I've had no problem getting into a mp match. Sure, there are still some bugs in the game, but at least I'm now able to play online.

Sniper Elite 3 Trailer for Xbox One

This is misinformation dude. This is not Sniper Elite 3. This is Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army. You can't claim this to be the Sniper Elite 3. I'd laugh if somebody who reads this believe what you said, went to Walmart and asked for this game and then went home, popped it in and found out there are no zombies. Just regular Nazis. So anybody reading this, THIS IS NOT SNIPER ELITE 3.

There's 2 different Resets, a Hard & a Soft.

Holding the power button on console for 10 seconds is one, the other is pulling the plug.

Either of these 2 should be preformed for anyone that has any kind of strange issue with their console.

 

This was told to me by xbox customer support for a separate issue as I mentioned. Is there harm in doing this? I suppose I failed to mention to close out all apps prior. Thoughts? All I'm saying, is that since I've done this, I've been able to get into mp.

There is no harm at all, you don't need to close down apps either. Its basically a full shutdown that closes everything on the console and reboots.

I go through a lot of apps & games on a daily basis with the power saver off so sometimes it can get overloaded.

So any issue with the console not working properly should do a reset.

Not sure why it would effect connecting to MP matches on any given game, but if it worked it worked.
