    Snapping feature doesn't work properly


    I can't see the game running When I'm in the home screen with an app snapped. It only shows the games logo. (It is running it just won't display where I paused)

    All games display the logo with Any snapped apps In home screen.

    This has been going on since February I've tried holding the power button till it reset I've tried many common fixes but no results.

    Xbox App capture feature doesn't work properly for Fortnite.

    For the past month or 2 I've been getting better at Fortnite on PC and have been using Xbox capture to save my clips but when I go to view them all it shows is the thumbnail and plays the audio but there's no video. I also play Forza Horizon 3 and Black
    Squad and I've used Xbox capture on those games and it works perfectly fine, it's just Fortnite (not surprising) would really appreciate if you could take a look at what's happening as some of my Fortnite clips are so good that I'll never hit those shots ever

    Let's see what Microsoft has to say about this. As I have 2 replies. 1 hinting on replacement and 1 on a needed update

    Snap app feature

    Hello Scarface,

    The Snap app feature was removed to improve the overall dashboard functionality. Even when the Snap app feature was not being in use, it caused tons of lag when simply navigating the home screen.

    Hopefully in the future, new tech can allow the snap feature to return. I made a lot of use out of it. However, there doesn't seem to be any plans at the moment to bring it back.

    10% More GPU Power in the Kinectless SKU's

    whats wrong with all of you, kinect works outside of the game environment hence snap features and voice control etc. It was also misquoted originally (which you can check) that the 10% time slice (not GPU Power) is reserved for system apps, snap and kinect.

    So if a game does not allow these features, who is going to buy it ?

    I for one would be mighty annoyed if snap features did not work in a game

    Hi Krazy, The messages app doesn't support full screen mode. Thus making it a snap only feature.

    Xbox One doesn't do video calls in snap mode. You can Skype voice call someone and talk to them while you game. I do that every time my friend and I play as party chat never works. Just make sure you are not in a party. Then Skype voice call them. After
    they answer, play your game and Skype will continue running, no need to even snap it.
